Love reaches out its musical arms and wraps a ray of anthemic-pop sunshine around the girls of the world as UK singer/songwriter, McGoozer, delivers his debut single, ‘One And Only Girl’ as a message of love to every female on the planet; official track release Friday 24th March 2017.
One And Only Girl’ has also captured the attention of TV directors in the US, with a new web series for People Magazine called ‘American Doers’ snapping-up the song for their opening credits. McGoozer (or McGoo) is a voice you’ll have heard a thousands times before as he’s toured relentlessly with The Blues Brothers and Mike & the Mechanics, which included being the opening act for Phil Collins on his world tour.
Now the captivating voice of McGoozer steps into the global limelight as a solo artist, with a string of addictive pop singles and a debut album planned for 2017 – and boy will he blow you away! McGoozer’s debut single, ‘One and Only Girl’ is what happens when you whip up a cocktail of the most idyllic paradise imaginable with a heart melting voice, a ukulele and a generous slice of joy.
The song is simply about anyone who means the world to you – sister, mum, wife, girlfriend, daughter – this is for them. Structured around a ukulele, the song was recorded in the Maldives, with the brass section overlaid in New York.
A stunning colour palette of turquoise and azure smash through the urban gloom, shattering winter into a million crystal pieces as McGoozer cascades us with the brilliant, glistening vibe of the video for this track.
This melodic cup overflows with joy and super catchy pop loops as we’re whisked away to the shores of Lake Norman in North Carolina. And smiles …..this track is abundant with feel good smiles which encapsulate the sound of McGoozer, giving us addictive anthemic pop-rock with an acoustic heart.
Glaswegian, Paul McGee (aka McGoo), grew up surrounded by musicians, so it was no surprise when the teenager’s first musical job took him around the world to tour with ‘The Official Tribute To The Blues Brothers’, which ran for over 3 years. McGoo also recorded and toured with Mike and the Mechanics, singing on their studio album ‘Rewired’, performing to festivals and stadiums of over 70 thousand people at a time, including being the opening act for Phil Collins’ world tour.
In late 2015, McGoo signed a management deal with Shipwright Productions, headed by Steve Shippee, previously the CEO of Broadway Video, the production company responsible for the iconic American comedy show Saturday Night Live. McGoo’s wonderful nomadic lifestyle had exposed him to a world of influences and the new batch of material which he brought to his management deal is the result of his many musical adventures; stretching from Nashville and New York, right through to the Maldives, the Caribbean, Europe and beyond – all via London and his home town of Glasgow.
McGoo has also been writing with a catalogue of high profile songwriters and producers, all of whom have contributed to the forthcoming album, released Autumn 2017. The music of McGoozer is immediately relatable and speaks from the heart and for the heart. Creating positive music about universal experiences, filled with astonishing soaring vocals and beautiful melodies. McGoozer’s voice will make your soul smile. Enjoy!
