UK singer-songwriter Liam Cromby has released his debut solo album ‘What Can I Trust, If I Can’t Trust True Love’. We spoke to him all about the album:

You will be releasing your debut solo album ‘What Can I Trust, If I Can’t Trust True Love’. How did you want to approach making this album?

I wanted to approach this album with an open heart and with courage to record as natural as one can in a recording studio.

Where did you record the album and who produced it?

Peter Miles recorded this album at Middle Farm studios

Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?

My hometown is Loughton, Essex

Do you have any live performances lined up to support the release?

I will be embarking on a tour across the UK and Germany!

Do you have any favoured stage instruments, effects, pedals?

My acoustic guitar comes with me everywhere I go whether I’m busking or on stage.

One track is ‘At This Table’. What was the inspiration/story behind the song?

It’s about showing someone how beautiful they are not just on the outside but the inside too.

Was it a difficult album to write? Did you work with any co-writers?

It was challenging at times. I often found it difficult to express myself through song and so worked with a few co-writers.

How do you look after your voice?

Lots of hydration. Vocal rest.

Do you tour with a band and if so, who performs with you?

This will be the first tour with my band “The Morning Star”. The band mostly consists of my covers band and a few musical mates I’ve met along the road.

What makes Liam Cromby happy and what makes you unhappy?

Connecting with the world around me through music makes me happy.
