Big Time Rush are back in the UK & Europe this year with their most anticipated tour yet playing every song from every episode of their hit Nickelodeon series, many of which have never been played live! Prior to their 11th December 2025 OVO Arena Wembley date, the band kindly chatted to us:

Tell us a bit about how it was the first time you met.

Carlos: Oh, it was beautiful. It was beautiful. He looked into my eyes and he sang a song and I sat there and I said, “Oh, this is the one.”

Kendall: I was sweating.

Carlos: He was sweating.

Kendall: I was sweating a lot at the time.

Carlos: But Kendall was the final puzzle piece to Big Time Rush. So he came into the room, me, Logan, and James were standing there with some of the producers. Kendall had to sing for all of us by himself. So props to him because that is nerve-wracking.

Kendall: It was nerve-wracking. You guys were you guys knew each other but you weren’t that close. Right? Because you had been working together, but it wasn’t like it is now 15 years later. It was like you kind of knew each other.

Carlos: I didn’t even know if I was getting fired. Like, I just was there, and I was just ready for the experience. You know what I think was really cool – you know, how they say “love at first sight”, it’s like, you know, we knew that Kendall was the right fit. When he left the room, the producers looked at us, we were like, “that’s the guy.”

Kendall: Well, that makes me feel so good.

What was your earliest musical memory?

Kendall: I mean, my earliest musical memory… I guess the earliest one would be my grandma playing piano. So I remember her playing piano and singing with my mom in the car, that’s probably my earliest musical memory.

Carlos: My dad used to sing all the time in the morning. And I hated it. It was awful. But he used to sing this song with his deep voice. He’d be like, “Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus.” And I would say, “Stop singing.” And we hated it as kids. But now I look back, and I think he was what kind of got us into this whole singing thing. He just kept those tunes going even though he was a terrible singer, so yeah my father.

Kendall: Think about how much you do that now for your kids so it’s like you realize it’s kind of just a dad thing to do, you know to just sing loudly.

When did you begin songwriting?

Kendall: For me, my first attempt at songwriting was probably when I was 15/16.

Carlos: I’d say the same too. I tried to do this reality show thing for music. Everybody was writing their own music. So I was like, I’m going to do the same thing. It was terrible, but you know, I tried.

Have you still got anything that you wrote from back then?

Kendall: I found a notebook not too long ago with old songs in it and also old journaling. Old journaling from before my wife. And we had a fun time reading through it because she was like, “you were crazy!” I was like, absolutely. I was nuts.

Kendall: Oh dude. Yeah. I have the same thing. The teenage angst that I was going through at the time when I read it.

Carlos: Should we burn it?

Kendall: I’m like It’s cute. It’s clearly so immature. Like when you read your old notebooks from when you’re 16, 17, 18, your lyrics, it’s like, no matter how, what you thought you were doing then you look back now and you’re like, wow, that was, I was very immature.

Carlos: So many girls, so many girls did me wrong, I guess. It’s just the rambling. “I hate her, he didn’t look at me at lunchtime” and I’m like, oh my gosh. Dude, what a child.

You’ll be performing at OVO Wembley Arena in London on 11th of December 2025 as part of a European tour. How are you feeling about performing in London? Have you performed at Wembley Arena before?

Kendall: We have not. And how do we feel about performing in London? We’ve played a few shows in London, right? We’ve done Shepard’s Bush. I don’t recall what the last one was. Oh, we did Manchester and Birmingham, too. So this will be like our third, I think this might be our third show in London and they’ve progressively gotten bigger. So this is very exciting.

Carlos: I’m excited to have everybody come to one area. Like, you know, like before we were doing like a few small shows, I think it’s going to be cool to have just everybody come to one. And then we’re going to be able to like really do the production that we like to do with all the screens and all the lights.

Who will be joining you on your tour?

Kendall: We have basically the creme de la creme of TV show tour. We’re basically bringing other cast. We’ve got Stephen Kramer Glickman joining the tour and we’ve got Katelyn Tarver and they’ve been amazing. It’s been incredible so far touring with them so I think everyone’s going to be really excited to see them.

How do you look after your voices?

Carlos: Oh, man. Not very well. It’s a lot you know, on this this tour we’ve kind of put our foot down and we made a decision that we did not want to do more than three shows in a row sometimes we have to do four but for the most part we try and limit it to three and at least get a day off. But overall I think our voices have just learned how to do this show and sing these songs, it’s like they’re calloused over it’s like “oh you want to sing Big Time Rush? Okay let’s sing the theme song.”

Do you have any new music releases planned for 2026?

Carlos: I mean I’d assume so, and I also think, individually, everybody’s releasing music, so I think 2026 is going to be a fun year of more music.

Kendall: It’s going to be great, and it’s going to be so much good music.

Carlos: Yeah, we’re touring a lot next year. I mean, everyone’s like, “Is it over?” I’m like, “No, we have like 50 something shows left.” Yeah, and we keep adding more. So I mean, I think in between the tour, yes, music, but we’re focusing right now on these 50 plus shows.

Kendall: Yeah, we’ll be touring until springtime.

Carlos: And we just released a song last week.

Kendall: We just put out a song called “Blow Your Speakers Out” last week, which is a remake of an older song that never really got released properly. I think it got released in Europe and UK, but it never came out in the States. And people were asking for it over and over and over again. So we were like, you know what? Let’s do it. But maybe even some more of that. I think we’ve been really enjoying recreating some older songs. And it’s like we, of course, love putting out new music, but some of the stuff deserves to have a second look, you know? So, we’ve been doing a lot.

What makes Big Time Rush happy and what makes you unhappy?

Carlos: We love performing yeah I gotta say after the last tour I was like ready for a break and recently my wife was like are you excited I’m like I love performing so I think I think this you know the six or eight weeks that we just had off it was really nice but I’m like I’m itching to get back on stage so I think I think we all have that love of being on stage and performing, and that’s kind of our happy place. I think we do our worst when we are apart for long periods of time.

Kendall: It is funny when we’re together, you have to usually support each other because it’s a lot of work. And by work I mean it’s just a lot of time and it’s a lot of energy expended so we’re usually holding each other up on tour. I was gonna say I only unpacked my suitcase last week so that’s not to say that’s not to say I wasn’t using the clothes in it I was just I hadn’t unpacked.

Carlos: I unpacked but I just put it on top, like it was just stacked and Lex was like “well I guess we can pack most of it again for next week” I said “yeah that’s pretty much it.”

Kendall: And shopping, we like shopping together that’s something we also do well together. That makes us happy.

Carlos: And eating and food.

Kendall: Yes and eating.

Carlos: Yes, huge. That’s like our number one, it’s like we’ll spend money on food. Food is a non-negotiable.

Kendall: We’re pretty frugal overall, but food is a non-negotiable.

Carlos: You know, do you want some explosions during the show? No, but we definitely need steak.

Kendall: Yeah, steak for sure.

Carlos: And it has to be organic.
