Music Collective LIM Releases New Single ‘Boy Scientist (Quantum)’ With Tom Ball Feat. RPO

Musical collective LIM has announced the release of their new single Boy Scientist [Quantum], a cinematic work written by Susan Lim and Christina Teenz Tan, with music composed by Ron Danziger and Manu Martin . The song features on the soundtrack of the award-winning short film Boy Scientist – A Prequel to Forever and will appear on the forthcoming album Lim Fantasy of Companionship – Legacy Edition, due November 2026.

Released on International Youth Day, the musical collective are passionate about inspiring the youth of today to strive for success, with the main lyric in the chorus emphasising that “nothing worthwhile is easy”.

Ron Danziger is a scientist, lead vocalist Tom Ball is an ex-teacher and Christina Teenz Tan studied at Harvard University, so educating the next generation of scientists through music is very important to them.

Boy Scientist was recorded in the iconic Studio One at Abbey Road Studios and brought to life by an acclaimed cast of performers, including vocalist Tom Ball (who came 3rd in Britain’s Got Talent in 2022), the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Voices and the ALAN band, with mixing by Grammy Award-winning engineer Simon Rhodes.

The release follows recent recognition for the short film, which was nominated at the World Film Festival Annual Awards and won Best Song in the festival’s April Monthly Competition.

Last year in Cannes, LIM’s Timeless won Best Song for songwriters Ron Danziger and Christina Teenz Tan, while Tom Ball received the Best Singer of the Future award for his performance. He returned this year to give Boy Scientist its world premiere at the Annual Gala Dinner.

Tom Ball will also be joining Adam Garcia, actor, singer and dancer, on his Emerald Storm Tour this year from August to September, with over 70 dates. As well has his own new music tour ‘Nostalgia’, across theatres in the UK next year.

Lim Fantasy of Companionship – Legacy Edition will be released on Signum Records in November 2026, including a double vinyl edition.
