The Marcus King Band have lined up two UK performances for April 2017.

The band will perform a headline show at 100 Club, Oxford Street, London, United Kingdom on Wednesday 26th April 2017 and an appearance at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Cheltenham, United Kingdom on Thursday 27th April 2017.

Tickets for 100 Club show are on sale now and priced at £18.50 plus fees each.

The band’s second full length LP and first album for Fantasy Records, ‘The Marcus King Band’, was released in October 2016.

“Although young in years, King displays a fine sense of history taking in many blues and jazz alumni – as evidenced by our chat with him which you can read here: http://bit.ly/2dHu9jo – but moreover, an arranging sensibility that wrings the maximum dynamism and range from his chosen band members. However long it took Don Ellis and Duke Ellington to attain these skills, Marcus seems to be roaring there in early course. You can sense a love of The Allman Brothers and Miles Davis but King’s thing already has its own characteristics.” – Pete Sargeant Just Listen To This
