Nelly Furtado Releases Video for New Track ‘Pipe Dreams’. The track is lifted from her new album, ‘The Ride’, the follow up to 2012’s ‘The Spirit Indestructible’.
Pop artist Nelly Furtado will be releasing her new album ‘The Ride’ on Friday 31st March 2017. The video for the first track ‘Pipe Dreams’ has been released and is available to watch below. Known for hits including ‘Promiscuous’, ‘Maneater’ and ‘I’m Like A Bird’, Furtado’s new studio album is a follow-up to the 2012 release ‘The Spirit Indestructible’.
“As a song, ‘Pipe Dreams’ is a little more subtle than her previous material as her lead vocals are at the forefront without any rapping or harsh hip-hop beats. The backing of Hammond-organ could have been added on electronically during the recording process but I hope it wasn’t. The music video has a very nineties home video camera style that director Jake Elliott has captured perfectly as Nelly asks to not be sold any pipe dreams. It sounds promising because it would appear that she is trying to try a new sound. Hopefully she will drip-feed some more material over the coming months to the music-buying public.” – Glenn Sargeant Just Listen To This
