British post-hardcore outfit Keep This Up are charging forward with unstoppable momentum, unveiling their towering new single and video, Remedy, available on all major platforms from Friday 14th November 2025. We spoke to the band:

Who is in Keep This Up, how did you meet and what do you play?

Jared – Vocals
Chris – Bass
Dan – Drummer
Andy – Guitar
George – Guitar

Chris met Dan pre-covid and KTU was born. Then Chris met Jared through Instagram during COVID, got chatting and wrote the Paper Houses EP together. Then George & Andy joined a bit later on and have been a great addition.

What is your earliest musical memory?

Chris: Probably seeing Busted in 2004 with my parents

When did you begin songwriting?

I think we all started from a young age and have all enjoyed a variety of genres and influences

You have your new single ‘Remedy’ released on Friday 14th November 2025. What is the story/inspiration behind the track?

Remedy (For The End) was a song written to almost reflect the state of affairs we are currently in. The world is coming to an end, it feels like no one is coming to save us and there’s no escaping it. This is a song that plays as the dust and ashes fall, as the end takes shape.

Where did you record the single who produced them?

Chris @ Backlands Studios in Elmington helped produce and mix the single

Do you have any interesting, funny or memorable stories from the recording sessions?

So we wrote this song a while ago but when revisiting it, we didn’t enjoy the lyrics, so we scrapped them all, picked a theme and rebuilt the track for the end of the world. Added all the soundscape etc and it created Remedy.

Did you use any particular instruments, microphones, recording equipment to help you get a particular sound/tone for the record?

Nothing particular for instruments but we wanted to use a soundscape and synths in the back subtly to really emphasise the lyrics and subject.

Which of your tracks hear you at your a) happiest, b) angriest and c) most reflective?

I think Hollaback Girl for happiest because it’s such a fun cover and done in our unique style

I think Fever Dream for angriest because it is very open to interpretation. It’s for those sick of the 9-5, of day to day pain and politics. It’s a fight back song.

I think Find Myself for most reflective as it definitely has deep and meaningful lyrics

Was it a difficult song to write?

No, the song itself flowed very quickly when we wrote it and the new lyrics came together very quickly. It felt right

Who designed the single artwork?

I did (Chris – Bassist) – we wanted something to reflect the end of the world

Does the single title have any significance/special meaning?

No, but it reflects/connects to the songs theme itself

The track is accompanied by an official music video. What was the thought process behind the video and who directed it?

It was filmed by Riley of Riffs & Gigs + Directed by Chris from Keep This Up. We wanted something to add to the theme and reflect the state of affairs (with all the newspapers etc) and the emotion that follows.

Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?

Spalding, Lincolnshire. A small town with promise.

How do you look after your voices?

A lot of hot drinks, patience and care

Do you have any live dates planned in the UK/Europe in 2025/2026?

2025:

21st November – Burton Upon Trent, Olde Royal Oak
23rd November – Cambridge, Six Six Bar
30th November – Leicester, Duffy’s Bar

9 dates booked for 2026 but not announced yet. More being worked on

What two things do you hope to have achieved once you have left the stage?

We always aim to put on the highest energy set of the night so we want to leave everyone wanting more and blown away by what they see.

Do you have any favoured stage instruments, effects, pedals, microphones etc?

Line 6 Helix and Quad Cortex. Absolute life savers and very handy bits of equipment

You are given the opportunity to write the score for a film adaptation of a novel that you enjoy. Which novel is it and why?

The Passengers by John Marrs. It is an absolutely stunning book and would make for an incredible film with some incredible music.

Who are some of your musical influences? Do you have any recommendations?

We have a very wide range of influences from bands like:

Sum 41
Architects
Beartooth
My Chemical Romance
Letlive
Holding Absence

We recommend some of our friends bands:

Buried By My Heartache
Dead Reynolds
Heartstrung
Hound

Do you have any further new music releases planned for 2026?

We have 15 new tracks in the works but we will see what happens for 2026… Plenty planned.

What makes Keep This Up happy and what makes you unhappy?

Happy: Playing shows and writing new music

Unhappy: Seeing the pain that a lot of independent and local bands have to go through these days because of lack of support or venues etc.
