Award-winning Australian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Ray Beadle will be touring the UK in August 2026 and spoke to us:
You will be touring the UK. How are you feeling about the shows?
I’m super excited to return to the UK. Last October was the first time for me. I’ve always wanted to play shows outside of Australia. I just want to go everywhere now!
Who will be in your touring band?
I am using different bands in different territories of the UK. All respected UK muso’s
Do you have any favoured stage instruments, effects, pedals?
I usually play a Strat style guitar. I’ve recently bought an “Iconic” guitar which are built in California. I sometimes play a Telecaster. I have recently been using a Vemuram Budi G with an OCD and a Landau Vemuram. I usually use a 59 Bassman.
You are given the opportunity to write the score for a film adaptation of a novel that you enjoy. Which novel is it and why?
Not sure, maybe Chocolat. It lends itself to blues and jazz.
What makes Ray Beadle happy and what makes you unhappy?
My family and playing obviously makes me happy and talking gear with other players. Seeing people lose their minds makes me unhappy.
