Adam Ant Announces 2017 ‘Anthems: The Singles’ UK Tour. The tour kicks off in Newcastle on Friday 5th May 2017.

80s music pioneer Adam Ant has announced an extensive 16-date UK tour for May 2017 having wowed audiences at various Rewind Festivals during summer 2016.
The tour will showcase Adam’s impressive back catalogue of material including hit singles, B-Sides and personal favourites. The album, ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’ (1980) became a worldwide hit, spending 12 weeks at number 1 and won the Brit Award for Best British Album.
The singles, ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’ and ‘Antmusic’ both hit number 2 in the UK chart and ‘Dog Eat Dog’ reached number 4.
As ‘Antmania’ swept the nation, ‘Stand and Deliver’ hit the number 1 spot in May 1981 and stayed there for 5 weeks becoming his most successful single and winning him the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for songwriting.
On its release, the follow up single and album ‘Prince Charming’ went straight to number 1 and a further 12 singles went top 30, at one point Adam had 8 singles in the top 40…in one week!
