Announcing the Peace One Day Celebration 2025 – A Concert To Drive The Greatest Call For Peace The World Has Ever Known
On Sunday 21st September 2025, (Peace Day), Wembley Arena will play host to the greatest call for global peace that the world has ever experienced, in the form of Peace One Day – a live multi-star concert – streamed free to every continent of the world. On a mission to create the biggest movement of the word ‘peace’ across 24 hours, music-icon Dave Stewart (Peace One Day Ambassador) and Jeremy Gilley MBE (Peace One Day Founder), will join forces with an array of international artists and thought-leaders from different sectors of society, to make a stand for global peace.
Consistently, Peace Day (21 September), sees a reduction in violence compared to any other day of the year. To shine a spotlight on the day, the Peace One Day Live concert will be a diverse, equal and inclusive live experience, celebrating the milestone of 3 billion people being aware of the day, and spreading the message to the wider masses. Bursting with music artists from every continent, the one-off concert will deliver live music and live speakers, many of whom come from areas of live conflict. Performers include Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, Daryl Hall, Basement Jaxx, Emmanuel Kelly, Nastya Kamenskykh, Innoss’B, Young Voices, and Sir Bob Geldof as one of the day’s international speakers – plus many more artists and speakers to be announced.
Peace One Day Ambassador, Dave Stewart, will release the Peace One Day Anthem later this summer, more info to follow. The concert at Wembley will give audiences the first ever chance to experience the debut public live performance of the anthem.
Dave Stewart comments, “Never before has our world been in a more urgent need for peace. The Peace One Day live concert will bring music artists and thought leaders from across the globe together, on a mission to stand together as one, irrespective of your political views or religious creed. So I’m calling on everyone to join us on at Wembley on 21 September, Peace Day, so we all move together in solidarity towards peace.”
Peace One Day: Filmmaker Jeremy Gilley founded Peace One Day in 1999 to establish an annual Peace Day with a fixed calendar date and document the process. In 2001 Peace One Day’s efforts were rewarded when the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on the UN International Day of Peace, fixed in the calendar as 21 September – Peace Day. Peace One Day’s overarching objective is to ensure that people are aware of the day and engage all sectors of society in the day’s peaceful observance and celebration.
As well as leading a number of high-profile Peace Day campaigns in sport, education, the environment, and within the corporate sector, Peace One Day has produced 38 major broadcast celebrations, including performances by Sir Elton John, Akon, Annie Lennox, Lenny Kravitz, Youssou N’Dour, Yusuf Islam, Peter Gabriel, Patti Smith, Bryan Adams, John Legend, Dave Stewart, Jimmy Cliff and many others.
We are inspired by the incredible information that there appears to have been a 15% decrease in deaths on 21 September, compared to other days in the year.
