Damien Dempsey Announces Damofleadh – A St Patrick’s Day Celebration

Damien Dempsey announces the inaugural Damofleadh on St Patrick’s Day 2018.
“Some years ago, I was invited to attend a St Patrick’s Day show at London’s 100 Club in Oxford Street. The headline act was Irish songster Damien Dempsey. He is in some ways, a bit of a Springsteen figure in Irish music culture, delivering every song with punch and grit, hammering away at his guitar and arriving at many singalong choruses during his setlist. I was surrounded by buxom bouncing Celtic ladies in a boisterous heaving crowd, their lung busting singing drowning out the performers. Quite an experience but as a non-drinker I felt very much out of place. This time around, Dempsey is in a much bigger venue but I expect that vibe to be duplicated.” – Pete Sargeant Just Listen To This
The evening will take place on Saturday 17th March 2018 at The Roundhouse, Camden, London, United Kingdom.
Damien will be headlining the event and hosting a full evening of entertainment, playing tracks from his new collaborations record and tracks from his illustrious 18-year career from the Great Irish Songbook.
Musical support will come from rising stars Beoga, Wildwood Kin and Morrissey and Marshall. Jerry Dammers, original founder of The Specials will be playing a special DJ set and the night will be compered by famed Irish poet Stephen James Smith.
