Introducing… Axel Jansson
Axel Jansson is London-based Swedish singer-songwriter who was drawn to music when he started to explore his father’s record collection as a child, absorbing and soaking up the sounds of the 60s and 70s. He then went on to study at BIMM (London) where he met James Bell and was signed to All Out Music.
Since then Axel has written and recorded an impressive catalogue of songs for his debut album, due for release in 2018. His new single ‘How It Feels’ follows on from his debut release ‘Shine’ which received interest from several UK newspapers.
When asked about playing live, Axel explained “It’s a confidence boost when you get invited to play at these amazing places, receive a warm welcome across the regions and leave each gig knowing that there are excited new fans out there ready to support you in areas you’ve never visited before.”
“Jansson’s new single has a lively intro which is reminiscent of early material by The Kooks but his American-esque vocals make me wonder if he is fan of Bruce Springsteen as his electric guitar zooms into action. The anthemic chorus has potential to be popular at outdoor festivals and I look forward to hearing more of his songs.” – Glenn Sargeant Just Listen To This
