Following its success of 2015 and 2016, Kilimanjaro in partnership with The Royal Hospital Chelsea, are delighted to announce that Live At Chelsea, the three day concert series, will be returning for a third year over the weekend of 15th-18th June 2017. Cementing itself as a must see event in the summer calendar for 20,000 music goers, Live At Chelsea is the only concert series staged at this beautiful venue.
The shows themselves are hosted in a fully seated auditorium in the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s central courtyard – the Hospital itself was founded by King Charles II in 1682 and is home to the Chelsea Pensioners, 300 retired soldiers (many of whom attended the shows, with the London Evening Standard noting how Alison Moyet “charmed” the Pensioners in Chelsea).
Belle and Sebastian will play the Royal Hospital Chelsea on June 15, with a set from Einaudi set to follow on June 18. Tickets are on sale at 10am on Friday 16th December 2016.
“Belle and Sebastian have never fought in a war, we are not pensioners (not yet!) and we’re hardly posh enough for Chelsea,” Stuart Murdoch said. “Yet, for one night we will be guests of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Please consider joining us, for what should be a fragrant evening of modern rock and roll. And let’s get dressed up!”
The festival is sponsored by Amazon Tickets for 2017.
