Marcella Detroit has announced a ten-night residency at the legendary Boisdale Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom. The first run starts on Monday 9th July 2018 and concludes on Friday 13th July 2018.

The second batch of performances then commences on Monday 16th July 2018 and wraps up on Friday 20th July 2018.

Having recently released some of the best music of a chameleonic career that now stretches back over 40 years, the legendary Marcella Detroit is at the very top of her game right now. One of the most successful singer / songwriters in musical history, she cut her teeth in the early 70s working with Bob Seger before joining Eric Clapton’s band, when she co-wrote a clutch of classics including ‘Lay Down Sally’.

With her quirky cocktail of pop, rock and soul, Detroit was simply impossible to pigeonhole from the moment she left Clapton to go solo. She soon started writing for and collaborating with a dizzying list of legends including Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn and Elton John before going on to enjoy globetrotting chart success with her band, Shakespeare’s Sister, who released a golden run of timeless singles including ‘Stay’ and ‘You’re History’.

For this special run of rare up close and personal performances, Detroit will be delving deep into her songbook, playing all of her iconic hits alongside a few lesser-known, rarely heard gems.
