Nouvelle Vague – 21st Anniversary Tour November 2025
The much-loved French collective Nouvelle Vague returns to the UK next month for a 16-date tour, celebrating 21 years since the release of their iconic self-titled debut album.
Renowned for their dreamy bossa nova reworkings of post-punk and new wave classics, the group hits the road in November 2025 with a lineup that includes DeLaurentis, Phoebe Killdeer & The Shift, and long-time collaborator Mélanie Pain.
The tour begins in Nottingham on 12th November, includes a special performance at London’s iconic KOKO on the 27th, and wraps up in Cardiff on the 29th.
Originally founded by Marc Collin and the late Olivier Libaux, Nouvelle Vague quickly rose to international acclaim. What began as a one-off studio project has since evolved into a genre-defying live experience, embraced by audiences around the globe.
Their early releases — Nouvelle Vague (2004) and Bande à Part (2006) — became cult favourites, reimagining tracks by Joy Division, The Clash, Depeche Mode and more in their unmistakably elegant style.
The group’s latest album, Should I Stay Or Should I Go, features powerful vocal performances from Alonya, Bijou, and Marine Quéméré. Audiences can expect to hear highlights from the new record alongside fan favourites from their expansive back catalogue.
The 2025 touring lineup blends a mix of returning favourites and fresh voices. Lead vocal duties will be shared by Mélanie Pain and Phoebe Killdeer until 17th November, with Shanice “Alyona” Sloan and Marine Quéméré taking over from 17th to 29th November. The full band includes Marc Collin (keys/producer), Jérôme Pichon (guitar), Julien Boye (drums), and Oliver Smith (double bass).
Nouvelle Vague has long been known for its rotating lineup of captivating female vocalists, including Camille, Élodie Frégé, Phoebe Killdeer, and of course, Mélanie Pain. Over the years, the band has also welcomed guest appearances from artists such as Juliette Lewis and Vanessa Paradis. Their live shows are as much about bold reinterpretation as they are about French sophistication — breathing new life into beloved songs.
