There are venues and there are venues. For our team, based in England south of London, many are easy to reach. However for ease of travel, quality of sound, lighting and effects Under The Bridge takes the biscuit. So much so that we have recommended the place to many artists that we meet and interview. Everywhere in the room affords a decent view and sound. It’s a photographer’s dream, with so many angles and even a staircase.
It doesn’t matter whether the act is funkmasters Imagination, The Magic Band and their spiky blues-drenched Beefheart material (they recorded iive there !), the flowing West Coast guitar-weave bliss of Live Dead, the husky songsmith Jon Allen, the fine showcase nights for new artists or indeed the high-voltage soul and musical fireworks of Atomic Rooster…the performances are uniformly enjoyable. Money was spent on this room, located at Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge ground, in the basement. An awesome gallery of original photographs of stars from The Jam to Bowie to Beatles are placed en route to the washrooms.

The new season for 2018 presents an incredible range of acts, from Roachford to Chairmen Of The Board, so we thought we had better bring you what we know, thus far……
