Paul Carrack Announces New Album And 2019 UK Tour
Peter Van Hooke
Carrack has a golden touch when it comes to song creation..and the better for it being the common touch as well. His compositions endure. Now a brand new album is scheduled for release…
The former Mike and the Mechanics and Squeeze member will put out his 17th solo album ‘These Days’ on Friday 7th September 2018 through his own label, Carrack-UK.
These Days’ line-up features Carrack on keyboards and guitar and regular bandmate Jeremy Meek on bass, joined by Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney, Pretenders, Norah Jones, John Mayer) on lead guitar and drummer Steve Gadd, Carrack’s Eric Clapton bandmate who has worked with everyone from Steely Dan to James Taylor.
The album’s horn section is overseen by saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis, an integral part of James Brown’s shows and records of the vintage Cold Sweat era. Five tracks on These Days have lyrics by former Squeeze bandmate Chris Difford.
‘These Days’ Album Tracklisting:
- Amazing
- Life In A Bubble
- In The Cold Light Of Day
- Dig Deep
- These Days
- You Make Me Feel Good
- Tell Somebody Who Cares
- Where Does The Time Go?

In addition, Carrack will head out on an extensive 29-date UK tour in 2019 that commences on Friday 18th January 2019 at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, United Kingdom and concludes in March 2019.
