My Glass World Announce New Album
‘Extraordinary Renditions’ by My Glass World is released on 18 September 2026 on Luxury Noise Records. The first single ‘We’re All The Same’ will be made available on 18 June 2026, with accompanying video. This album is the band’s eighth, and in fact the fifth created by composer, singer, musician Jamie Telford in cahoots with his musical foil Sean Read. Jamie has previously written and recorded alongside a range of talents from Paul Weller to Richard Strange, whilst Sean has production credits with artists like Edwyn Collins, Dexys Midnight Runners and Dave Gahan and the Soulsavers to name but a few; he also provides sax and woodwinds on the record.
Jamie Telford says, “Our new collection of tracks for ‘Extraordinary Renditions’ was recorded in triple quick time in three or four sessions over the last year. Songs were generally started in Scotland and then finished with Sean at his studios in London. This is the fifth album we’ve worked on together, so it bears the marks of that experience and creative bond we’ve arrived at over the past few years”.
“The album is informed by health concerns, and some of the lyrics reference that, as well as some wider, more philosophical issues and other more unusual terms of endearment. Songs like ‘We’re All The Same’ and ‘The Other Side’ contain elements of some of these ideas. It’s a worldly, wordy album that hopefully explores the writers’ views as well as having a more grounded look around”.
Previous tracks from the band have been championed on radio by, amongst others, Guy Garvey and the late great Janice Long. The output of My Glass World consistently raises a magnifying glass to the vagaries and the vicissitudes of modern life, looking at the status quo and finding it largely wanting. Songs are vigorous and venomous but delivered with a nod to the contemporary, and anchored by experience, expertise, emotion and feel..
‘Extraordinary Renditions’ by My Glass World will transport you to places you didn’t always know you wanted to visit, but it will never be a boring ride…
