.Fresh off their wins for ‘Best New Artist’ at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and ‘Best Push Act’ at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, multi-platinum selling band DNCE have released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album. The album features the double-platinum breakout smash “Cake By The Ocean”, which was #1 on the UK Airplay Charts for 4 weeks in a row. To date, the video has had over 218 million views. The song was a certified smash at radio, becoming one of the most played songs of the year. Internationally, “Cake By The Ocean” reached Top 10 on iTunes in over 10 countries and has generated over 454 million streams on Spotify worldwide. The band’s second single “Toothbrush” made its mark this summer with a highly buzzed about music video featuring supermodel Ashley Graham. To date, the video has amassed over 56 million views. Latest single “Body Moves” looks set to follow suit, with the band’s raunchiest music video yet receiving over 16 million views in just over one month. “When I first heard ‘Cake By The Ocean’ on the radio I went onto Shazam straight away to try and find out who the funky, catchy track was by. Since then, DNCE have had millions of YouTube views, toured with Selena Gomez, performed a headline show at O2 Academy Islington and a triumphant performance at Rays Of Sunshine Charity show at SSE Arena, Wembley, London. I think they are a real breath of fresh air in the pop genre.” -Glenn Sargeant Just Listen To This Assembled by frontman Joe Jonas, DNCE’s all-star bandmates include bassist & keyboardist Cole Whittle, who co-founded the band Semi Precious Weapons, South Korean bred guitarist JinJoo, who has toured with the Jonas Brothers, Charli XCX, and CeeLo Green, and drummer Jack Lawless, who has previously joined the Jonas Brothers, Night Terrors of 1927, and Soft Swells on the road.
