Country-crossover star Jessica Lynn is definitely not done yet and she is just getting started. Having released a flurry of singles and a successful UK/European tour Jessica chatted to us about her adventures:

You recently completed a headline tour of the UK and Europe. How was the experience for you and do you have any funny, interesting, memorable stories from the shows? Are you planning on retuning to the UK and Europe already?

The experience was absolutely amazing. There is such an appreciation for live music here that it is incredibly special to perform for such warm and inviting audiences. Oh yes of course! We had some very funny characters at the meet and greets and at the Grand Prix of Germany we had some stage jumping attempts! We are already receiving offers for next year and are very excited.

In addition, you have a brand-new single being released soon called ‘Ain’t Done With You Yet’. Who did you work on the song with and what is the story/inspiration behind it?

I co-wrote this song with some very talented writers in Belgium. They came to me with the riff that they thought would be right up my alley – and they were right. I was immediately inspired and we wrote the song over zoom which is a really fun sing-along with a summer vibe.

Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?

My hometown is Yorktown Heights, New York and five words that describe it would be:

Community, Welcoming, Quaint, Supportive, and Loving

How do you look after your voice?

With a gruelling touring schedule I don’t speak much outside of the shows on show days to save my voice. I also drink a lot of tea, take a lot of vitamins and supplements including bromelain which is a natural anti-inflammatory, and I use my nebulizer every night with saline water in it to rehydrate. Also, drinking a lot of water is important!

A previous single you released is the song ‘Mixed Signals’. What was the idea behind this track?

My husband and lead guitarist, Steve, and I wrote this song together. We wanted to tell the story of a typical up and down, in and out relationship ,through the lens of cocktails with a retro flair. It was a lot of fun to write, and the music video, which you can view on YouTube, was so much fun to shoot.

Do you have any favoured stage instruments/pedals/effects?

I am a very proud Kiesel Guitars artist. They make incredible custom guitars and my white retro solo is my favorite guitar I own, which I take on the road.

Do you have plans to release any more music throughout this year?

Yes! I am currently planning my next few releases as well as tours including my upcoming Christmas tour. I am very excited!

What two things do you hope to have achieved once you have left the stage?

I hope I have connected with people and made a difference.

What kind of music/artists do you like listening to?

I love music and artists of all types. I am a big John Mayer fan, Neil Diamond, Shania Twain, Richard Marx, the Beach Boys, etc. Inspiration for me comes from many different places.

What makes Jessica Lynn happy and what makes you unhappy?

Being able to perform makes me happy. The business part of music makes me unhappy as many times, in this industry, success comes down to how much you have to spend rather than how hard you work and hard good your music is.
