Inspired by Horror films, The Misfits, Alice Cooper, and pretty much anything and everything that entwines the macabre with loud guitars, Lesbian Bed Death will release their new live album ‘Tour Your Soul Apart’ will be released on Friday 17th October 2025 on Psychophonic Records. Find out more about the album here:

Who is in Lesbian Bed Death, how did you meet and what do you play?

Dan: We’re JJ (vocals), Ali Vicious (lead guitar), Aimee Violet (drums), Effe (bass), and me, Dan Peach (rhythm guitar). We all met through various friends and other bands.

What is your earliest musical memory?

Dan: I remember hearing Paradise City by Guns ‘N’ Roses on the radio and I was totally blown away by it. My descent into the world of Rock and Metal was pretty quick after that.

Aimee: As a teenager I found my Mum’s album ‘Bullet in a Bible’ by Green Day on the TV stand… I listened on repeat and that sparked my love of music.

When did you begin songwriting?

Dan: I’ve written riffs and bits since I started playing, but it was when I formed Lesbian bed Death that I started to figure out how to write actual songs. In terms of the new album, we didn’t stop writing after the previous one. When we felt creative, we just ran with the energy and wrote.

Aimee: What I sometimes do is throw some riffs together and send them off to Dan and Steve (Steve Lethal-producer), They have the patience to turn my crappy riffs into fun songs. I’m quite proud that some of my silly riffs and guitar licks have been turned into great songs. Bring Out Your Dead and Horrors of the Crown Hotel are two that started this way.’

You have your new live album ‘Tour Your Soul Apart’ released on Friday 17th October 2025. How did you want to approach the making of the album?

Dan: I wanted to make a live album that captured the energy and the passion of our live show. Our drummer, Aimee, mixed it and I believe she captured that.

Where did you record the album and who produced it?

Dan: It was recorded at various shows. Aimee and I ‘produced it’, and Aimee did the mixing and most of the hard work.

Do you have any interesting, funny or memorable stories from the show?

JJ: There are always stories. One that sticks out was when we were driving into Scotland on tour and a pheasant decided to kamikaze into the van window, gave us all a good scare and a good chuckle.

Did you use any particular instruments, microphones, recording equipment to help you get a particular sound/tone for the record?

Dan: I use a Kemper now which helps me to keep a very similar tone to what I used on the studio albums.

Aimee: Just my Drums! Nothing special but they haven’t changed for nearly 15 years now!

Which of your new album tracks hear you at your a) happiest, b) angriest and c) most reflective?

Aimee: Thats Hard, I’m always happy when playing the songs. Some songs bring back feelings and memories though. ‘Chains’ reminds me of my early teenage years, ‘Evil Never Dies’ was the first song I ever played with the band back in 2015, so that reminds me of my start with the band.

Who designed the album artwork?

Dan: Scott Jackson of Monsterman Graphic.

One of the tracks is ‘Midnight Lust’. What was the story/inspiration behind the track?

Dan: Midnight Lust is the album title, I think you mean ‘Satanic Suicide Sex Cult’, as the lyric Midnight Lust is in the chorus. We were initially going to call the album Satanic Suicide Sex Cult, but thought Midnight Lust was a bit slicker. Satanic Suicide Sex Cult was inspired by vampires, as that is literally what they are. It’s a vampire party anthem.

Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?

Dan: Stoke-on-Trent: Wealthy. People. Don’t Live. Here.

Aimee: Leek: People. There. Think. They’re. Wealthy.

How do you look after your voices?

JJ: I suppose when it comes to preserving our voices on tour I’ve got the hardest job there, but warm-ups, hydration, and rest are key. I consume diabolical amounts of honey and lemon and use a text to speech app during the day while I’m resting my voice. Knowing my limit has been the hardest part, but over the past few tours, I’ve come to learn where my limits are and as long as I don’t push myself everything ends up okay 🙂

Aimee: Ciggies and Cider. It’s a good job I only throw some backing vocals, right?

Do you have any live dates planned in the UK/Europe in 2025/2026?

Dan: We’re on tour with The Birthday Massacre for the rest of 2025. We also have a headline show in Leeds. We’ll be announcing our 2026 shows soon.

What two things do you hope to have achieved once you have left the stage?

Aimee: Not totally fucking up the songs & making sure the audience had a great time.

JJ: All we want is for people to have a good time, to leave their worries at the door and for a while Escape the outside world. I want to feel like we’ve given everything we’ve got and left the crowd buzzing. If people walk out of the venue feeling alive and maybe a little deaf, to me that’s mission accomplished.

Do you have any favoured stage instruments, effects, pedals, microphones etc?

Dan: I have a Baphomet shaped guitar with glowing eyes. I occasionally get stabbed by the horns on stage though.

You are given the opportunity to write the score for a film adaptation of a novel that you enjoy. Which novel is it and why?

JJ: Probably Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice. It’s gothic, sexy, tragic and everything we love. It’d be the perfect excuse to go full dark romantic.

Aimee: The Golden Compass, It’s the only novel I’ve read! (I know, I need to read more!)

Who are some of your musical influences? Do you have any recommendations?

Dan: The bands that influenced me to start LBD the most are probably The Misfits, Kiss, The 69 Eyes, and everything on The Return of the Living Dead soundtrack.

Aimee: My musical influences are more pop punk to be honest, But I do love so many genres of music. My early influences were Green Day, Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine.

What makes Lesbian Bed Death happy and what makes you unhappy?

Aimee: As a band we are happiest on the road. Knowing you are playing a show just gives us energy and we have such fun. It’s great to have time off too though and have our hobbies. I love all things tech like 3D Printing, Electronics & Gaming also.

JJ: Playing live, seeing people sing our lyrics back, and connecting with fans makes me happiest. As for unhappy?.. Probably daylight, bad soundchecks, and baked beans.
