Irish cultural phenomenon The 2 Johnnies have a podcast which has over 500k listeners a week, their own festival and will be playing on St Patrick’s Eve in London. The cheeky chaps sat down with JLTT for a chat:
How did the two of you meet and what led to you joining forces for the 2 Johnnies Podcast?
Johnny was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar… we met through our local GAA club and we moved in together shortly afterwards, teh rest is history
A year on from their massive first London Show, The 2 Johnnies are back in London for one night only, when you hit EartH, Hackney for a St Patrick’s Eve show on Saturday 16 March 2024. What can people expect from the evening?
Full band, full craic, full madness! We’re going to blow the roof off, a proper Irish shindig

Ireland’s greatest thing since spuds, Marty Mone will be joining us and hitting the diff
What does St Patrick’s Day mean to you both and do you have any specific family traditions that you observe?
In the words of Johnny Pilkington, It means one hell of a session
One of your singles is called ‘Sinead’. What is the inspiration/story behind the track?
Young love, we all know a Sinéad from school
Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?
Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Like nowhere on earth lad

Do you have any future music releases or live shows planned for 2024?
New album coming out mid summer, it’s gonna blow the moss off your gutters. We’re doing another full band show at Galway Airport Summer Sessions on August 17th.
What makes The 2 Johnnies happy and what makes you unhappy?
Sex, podcasts and Rock n Roll makes us happy and the lack of sex, podcasts and rock n roll makes us unhappy
