Alanis Morissette | In conversation with the director and cast of broadway’s ‘Jagged little Pill’, a production based on the U.S. star’s iconic album

NYC’s The Drama League has announced a very special evening with the director and selected cast of ‘Jagged Little Pill’, a production based on Alanis Morissette’s iconic 1995 album produced by Glen Ballard.

Director, Diane Paulus is the Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, where ‘Jagged Little Pill’ premiered in May 2018. Paulus is no stranger to Broadway with productions such as ‘Waitress’, ‘Hair’ and ‘The Gershwin’s’ Porgy and Bess’.

Other recent work includes ‘Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna’, currently on tour in the U.S. Paulus is Professor of the Practice of Theater in Harvard University’s English Department. She was selected for the 2014 Time 100, Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world; as one of Variety’s “Trailblazing Women in Entertainment for 2014”; Boston magazine’s “50 Thought Leaders of 2014”; and Boston magazine’s 2018 “100 Most Influential People in Boston.”

Stars of the show include Elizabeth Stanley – ‘On the Town’, ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ and ‘Cry-Baby’ – and Celia Rose who with ‘Jagged Little Pill’, makes her Broadway debut.

‘Jagged Little Pill’ opened on Broadway in 2018 and has since gone on to be nominated for the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
