Having worked with rockstars and pop royalty, Dan Lancaster is now creating music in his own right and has started his solo music journey by releasing his debut tune to the world…

Exceptional UK singer-songwriter and Grammy-nominated producer Dan Lancaster has unveiled his debut solo track ‘Move A Mountain’, via Raw Kingdom/AWAL/Kobalt, and which will form as part of an exciting EP due later this year.

You can listen to the track in this article.

Forming his own style of technical pop, ‘Move A Mountain’ sees Dan Lancaster display his extraordinary vocal talent, on top of intricate guitar playing and a self-produced sound that aligns with nobody else. On the lyrical themes behind his debut track, Lancaster explains; “The song is about trying to remove thoughts from your head but ultimately having little control over it and the frustration with that. Despite the song coming from a darker place, it was a cathartic release writing it.”

Lancaster is a Grammy-nominated Producer/Mixer/Writer from London who is currently best known for his work with some of the biggest bands in the world. He has written, produced and mixed 8 Radio 1 A-Listed records in

the last two years, working with Blink 182, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Bring Me The Horizon, as well as Fickle Friends,, One OK Rock, Don Broco and Lower Than Atlantis. On launching the solo venture, he comments; “I produce a lot for other artists, and you get to express yourself that but only up to a point. I’ve always wanted to put something of my own out when the timing was right. I’d been writing in between projects and started to upload little clips to my Instagram, but the turning point was when I wrote ‘move a mountain’ – then it felt like the start of something and the benchmark for everything to follow”

In 2017 Lancaster built and has subsequently worked in his own customised music studio in the London. He has scored multiple Platinum and Gold albums and had Number 1 albums in the UK, USA, Japan, Canada, and Australia, as well as being involved in records with over 800 million Spotify streams.

In addition, on Tuesday 16th October 2018 Dan perform his debut show at London’s Oslo, Hackney. The gig will give him the opportunity to perform live for the very first time, translating his exceptional talent on record to the live arena.

With ‘Move A Mountain’, Lancaster is stepping out of the studio and is about to give you a different perspective on UK pop music. Prepare to have your tastes shifted as 2018 marks the start for one of the UK’s most exciting solo acts.
