Danny Bryant Releases New Single And Music Video
With his new single ‘Tougher Now’, Danny Bryant opens a new chapter in his musical career. Following his acclaimed predecessor “Rise” (2023), Bryant showcases another facet of his talent on his new album ‘Nothing Left Behind’ (released by Jazzhaus Records on January 16th 2025).
With this first single, he reveals another facet of his talent: funk-infused, powerful and rousing – a song that sounds unmistakably confident, grooves and rocks in equal measure, and charges Bryant’s unmistakable signature with fresh energy.
‘Tougher Now’ combines the characteristic intensity of Bryant’s blues rock with a bouncy groove that gives the sound a new, rousing dynamic. The single reveals the exceptional musician from a more playful yet uncompromisingly focused side: a driving rhythm section, concise guitar riffs and a pinch of soul give the song an irresistible pulse. Above it all reigns Bryant’s distinctive voice – raw, honest, powerful.
The result is a modern, danceable blues rock track that finds its place somewhere between the club stage and the festival main stage – yet remains unmistakably Danny Bryant.
Instead of studio perfection, the focus is on feeling – the palpable energy of a band that lets every note breathe. The release is accompanied by a music video shot in Hamburg that elegantly captures the mood and atmosphere of the track.
With ‘Tougher Now’, Bryant once again demonstrates his flexibility and unwavering passion for handmade, honest music. ‘Tougher Now’ is not a break with the past, but rather an extension of Danny Bryant’s ever-growing musical palette.
The video, directed and edited by Nico Bizer and produced by Jazzhaus Records, showcases Bryant’s powerful performance style alongside his tight backing band.
Bryant delivers an emotional vocal and fiery guitar performance, matched by the energy of his band featuring Marc Raner on guitar, Jamie Pipe on Hammond, Artjom Feldtser on bass, and Alex Hinz on drums and percussion.
Musically, “Tougher Now” was co-written by Bryant and Raner, with lyrics penned by Bryant. The track was produced by Raner and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Martin Meinschäfer.
