David Sinclair Four Release New Single
David Sinclair returns with his first new song since 2023 — a rootsy, rock anthem built on self-reliance and the strength of collaboration. Written with guitarist Geoff Peel and recorded at The Bookhouse Studio in Bermondsey, ‘[I Got] One Pair of Hands’ is out now.
The track was produced and mixed by Jack Sinclair and features David Sinclair (vocals/guitar), Geoff Peel (guitar), Derek White (bass), Jack Sinclair (drums), and Georgie Webb (backing vocals).
“This song was inspired in the first instance by my brilliant band, the David Sinclair Four,” says Sinclair. “It’s about being one person with one pair of hands. They’re capable hands – no complaints – but there’s only so much I can do on my own. Thankfully, I’ve got my rock & roll band to help me ‘see it through to the end…’”
On a deeper level, the track is a personal reckoning. “It’s an emotional stock-take written at a time of life that only the lucky ones get to reach,” Sinclair continues. “There’s a strong mix of frustration and determination in the lyrics. This is the 66th track I’ve released under my own name, and somehow it still feels like a big new chance. ‘Looking back you can see just how far you’ve come / Look ahead and it’s like you’ve only just begun…’”
The track’s production brings a cinematic urgency to the band’s classic sound. “Jack produced the session with an ear for atmosphere and drama. Geoff’s lead guitar parts have real molten flow, and Georgie’s backing vocals add a warmth and clarity we’ll be leaning into more in the future.”
‘[I Got] One Pair of Hands’ captures the reality of leading a band through the ever-competitive UK blues circuit — with grit, gratitude and enough momentum to keep rolling. “I’ll do what I can,” Sinclair sings. “But I only got one pair of hands.”
With gigs across the country throughout 2025, the David Sinclair Four continue to earn their reputation as one of the most compelling live acts on the circuit. They’ve played the 100 Club, Borderline, Half Moon Putney, the Crawdaddy in Richmond, St Harmonica’s in Southgate, and festivals including Latitude, Cornbury, Broadstairs Blues Bash and more.
