House Gospel Choir Announce ‘Love Is Still The Message’ 2025 Tour
Pioneering, internationally respected vocal ensemble House Gospel Choir are hitting the road again in 2025 with their huge ‘Love is Still the Message’ Live Album Tour. Fusing the biggest house, gospel and garage tunes, the choir will bring their euphoric live show to eight venues across the UK and Ireland in April/May.
Kicking things off in Leeds at the Project House on 4th April, they will conclude with a very special show at London’s HERE at Outernet on 1st May.
Having recently released their new album ‘Love Is The Message’, the record is a stunning collection of 11 tracks, featuring their new single ‘GLOW’ with Rudimental and Afronaut Zu, which is out now on House Gospel Choir founder and Creative Director Natalie Maddix’s new label Swear Down Music.
The album also includes their first two singles ‘YOU’, the uplifting soulful house tune and a new sonic expression of ‘94 dance music classic Dreamer with original artist Janice Robinson of Livin’ Joy, championed by Radio 2’s Trevor Nelson. It also features inspired covers of classics; ‘Promised Land’ and Sounds Of Blackness 1991 essential Optimistic with Beverley Knight lending her powerful, soulful vocals. The remainder of the album comprises original material of pure, soulful house bangers, including three more tracks produced by main collaborators Rudimental, who have created instant classic house anthems – FIRE, Shall Not Be Moved and No Better Friend. HGC take it all the way to church to close with the rousing, anthemic title track A Vow (Love Is The Message) and gospel ballad Glory!.
For over 10 years Natalie Maddix, Founder & Creative Director of House Gospel Choir has diligently and faithfully built and developed a beautiful community of singers. It is a genuine representation of her experiences as a woman living in London and is the embodiment of her cultural, spiritual and musical beliefs.
House Gospel Choir burst onto the scene with ‘Salvation’ in a debut single that was crowned BBC Radio 1 ‘Hottest Record’ by Annie Mac, peaking at #1 in the Music Week Cool Cuts Chart and #5 in the Billboard Dance Club Chart. Releasing their acclaimed 14-track LP in October 2020 via Island Records, RE//CHOIRED was born out of a love for sound system culture, the healing power of house music and the group seeking to channel the magic of people working together to raise the vibrations.
House Gospel Choir’s live sets create a fusion of the biggest house, gospel and garage tunes that make every performance an unforgettable experience. That is the beauty of HGC, taking us to new heights of euphoria, imploring us to feel empowered, connected and always looking for a chance to uplift our voices with theirs. The art of finding the truth in deep house gospel refixes and garage classics is something that House Gospel Choir simply do better than anyone else. Whether it’s performing at the Mercury Music Prize Awards with Loyle Carner, joining Emilie Sande for Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer, performing at BBC Gospel Christmas with Beverley Knight, Gregory Porter & Tom Jones, as part of Kylie Minogue’s headline gig at Hyde Park and Infinite Disco Live Stream, or joining Jax Jones in Radio 1 and 1Xtra Live Lounge, HGC have taken these seemingly disparate musical moments and shown us the connection.
