New Zealand is famous for several things including New Zealander Sir Edmund Hilary who was the first person to conquer Mount Everest, Manuka honey which is produced by bees foraging on the flowers of the Manuka tree, a very special tree that only grows in New Zealand and it is the backdrop for both The Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit film franchises. Well we know introduce to you musician, singer, writer and film composer Blair Jollands.

Jollands’s hometown is Grey Lynn, New Zealand an inner Grey Lynn, New Zealand and he has worked on many much loved television series and films including ‘Poldark’, ‘Fortitude’, ‘Doc Martin’ and Rihanna’s 2013 TV movie documentary ‘777.’

In addition, he has previously collaborated with Boy George and The Strokes producer Gordon Raphael, and released albums under his alter ego El Hula. However, Blair Jollands is now releasing a brand new album under his own name entitled ‘7 Blood’. The album was inspired by his travels around the world, and recent battle with Lyme Disease. ‘7 Blood’ takes its name from a killing herb that Jollands collected from an Andalusian mountainside, in order to combat the superbug.

The record was recorded in London, Andalucia & Aotearoa. Blair Jollands also produced the entire record and enlisted Kirsa Wilkenschildt for the album artwork.
