Noel Gallagher Launches UK Tour in Buckinghamshire with Vindaloo Celebration!

by | Jun 14, 2023

One of the UK’s most successful rock stars, Noel Gallagher, can’t wait to come back to Buckinghamshire, the place he called home for many years, as he kicks off his UK outdoor tour ‘23 at Buckinghamshire’s biggest ever music festival, PennFest*. Headlining the festival on Friday 21 July, this will be the first time ever that Noel has played in Buckinghamshire, and to celebrate, this rock icon may be heading down to Milton’s Cottage for a cheeky vindaloo!

“I lived in Buckinghamshire for many years, but I’m pretty sure we’ve never played a show there, so it’s great to be kicking off our UK summer outdoor dates at PennFest. I’m looking forward to seeing Johnny (Marr) and watching his set, and maybe I’ll even have time for a Vindaloo at my old haunt, Milton’s Cottage in Chalfont St Giles!” – Noel Gallagher

Returning this July for its twelfth edition, PennFest promises to deliver the best line-up yet! A two-day festival with optional camping, PennFest is held in picturesque countryside near the village of Penn Street – just 26 miles from central London. Headlined by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on 21 July, this will be their first UK live performance of 2023. Day 2 of the festival sees headliners, Bastille on Saturday July 22, as 2023 marks the 10th Anniversary of the band’s million-selling, twice UK No.1 debut album, ‘Bad Blood’. PennFest is a fantastic multi-genre line-up which has something for every music lover. Weekend tickets from £100 / day tickets from £55 (+ booking fee), check pennfest.co.uk/tickets for details.

Since forming in 2011, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have released three No.1 studio albums and a No.1 Best Of (2021’s ‘Back The Way We Came’), whilst establishing themselves as an incredible touring band and festival headline act. This week, their critically acclaimed fourth studio album ‘Council Skies’, smashed in at No2 in the UK album charts. Described as “a belting reminder of why Oasis was so great,’ by The Times in their five-star review, ‘Council Skies’ features long-time friend and collaborator – and fellow PennFest 2023 performer – Johnny Marr on guitar on three tracks including ‘Pretty Boy’, while Milly Alcock (House Of The Dragon) stars in the official video for ‘Easy Now’.

Become part of British music history, as Noel Gallagher plays his former home county of Buckinghamshire for the first time ever – and ‘cheers!’ to that local vindaloo too Noel!
