Preacher Stone Announces New Album and 2026 UK Tour
Legendary USA southern rock ‘n’ rollers Preacher Stone are thrilled to announce their highly anticipated gritty and profound new album ‘By The Horns’ for release 17th October 2025 on CD/vinyl, all good digital platforms and available to pre-order now direct from the band HERE.
Accompanying the announcement they release the anthemic new single and lyric video ‘Think By Now’. The ever engaging frontman Ronnie Riddle laughs, with a mischievous glint in his eyes of escapades past and more to come, “I did a lot of crazy things in my youth, and you’d think by now that I’d know better, but I don’t. I will continue to do crazy things! That’s part of the fun being alive!”
Opening up on the overarching story behind the album, “As cliche as it is, we literally grabbed this one by the horns as we have been through a lot of personal turmoil, angst and grief alongside incredible highs over recent years. It was absolutely terrifying and exhilarating at the same time as we really got up close and personal with ourselves, sometimes doing that you may not like what you see but it’s important for growth. We’ve 100% unapologetically made the type of rock ‘n’ roll record that we grew up listening to in the 70’s, it rocks from the off and we rode it like we stole it.”
The 9 track collection was recorded at the legendary Gat3 Studios in Charlotte North Carolina, produced and engineered by the multiple Grammy winning Glenn Tabor (Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Kid Rock). “Making this record has without a doubt been one of the best times in the studio and the most cathartic experience that we’ve had. Glenn called a band meeting, we were all looking at each other thinking “is he allowed to call meetings now?” He said to us that he had the feeling that we wanted to take the governors off of this one, try things we hadn’t before and just let it rip. We had different set ups for micing drums and amps for different songs, very little overdubs or layering, it’s raw, honest and in your face as we had a lot to say!”
Kicking boots out of North Carolina USA, the band’s high-octane, 200 proof, rock-n-roll guitar-driven songs about the common man with heart-wrenching smoky bar frequenting tales and the swagger of their live performances have earned them a legion of faithful fans known as “The Congregation”. Having endeavoured through adversity in the past, alongside Ronnie the brotherhood of the band is steeped in musical heritage with Ben Robinson (guitar), Darrell Whitt (guitar) Jim Bolt (bass), and Wyatt (drums). Previously their song ‘Not Today’ was featured on two seasons of the hit TV series Sons of Anarchy and lengthy tours include across the USA, UK and Europe sharing stages with legendary household names such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Deep Purple and more to rapturous acclaim from fans and critics alike. Their previous album ‘V’ was released in 2024 garnering stellar reviews across the board including Metal Talk stating it’s “An album that demands attention” and Powerplay Magazine proclaimed that “It’s edgy, it’s high emotion. 9/10.”
2026 will bring a much called for and in demand return across the pond with the By The Horns UK tour taking in 10 headline dates at some of their favourite venues and new ones to them, including a London debut at the world famous Cart And Horses and an appearance at Planet Rock Winter’s End in Trecco Bay Wales with tickets on sale now. Special guests for all shows (except Winter’s End) are UK rising hard southern contemporary rockers Revenant.
Whilst Preacher Stone are rooted in southern rock history and authenticity they assure that they’re a band that continues to strike forward through all that life throws at them. “We really hope those that listen feel the love and emotion that went into this record. There’s a lot of powerful feelings in it and some deep topics that folk will be able to relate to. We play and write for our friends and fans first and foremost and while change is inevitable, that will never and you can count on that.”
