It’s a long time since we saw a young country artist play Shepherds Bush Empire. Now an international pop megastar, Swift has a brand new set of songs ready for release…
Taylor Swift finally revealed her seventh studio album titled ‘Lover’ which is released on Friday 23rd August 2019 on Republic/Universal Music.
The album will be available as four collectable CD versions featuring various bonus content, similar to the limited edition versions that Swift offered for her Reputation release that included Swift magazines and rare photos.
You can purchase each CD individually or as a boxset.
In addition to the album, Swift also teased a Lover-inspired collaboration with UK fashion designer Stella McCartney.
In addition, Swift’s ‘ME!’ featuring Panic! At the Disco’s Brendon Urie will feature on the record alongside her fortcoming single ‘You Need to Calm Down’.
You can watch the official lyric video for ‘You Need to Calm Down’ in this article.
The tone of the album will be heavily romantic, as Swift explained at the time of the announcement, and will include 18 tracks, her longest album to date.
The tracklist has not yet been announced with the exception of the two singles.
“It’s all love songs or something because I think that the idea of being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song,” explained Swift.
“I think you can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through conflict or dealing with things in your life. I think it just looks at these things with a very romantic gaze.”
But it’s not all love and roses on the new release, Lover will also be political in nature.
