Tears Of Happiness Share New Single ‘THE ONE’
Tears of Happiness is the creative outlet of singer, lyricist, and frontman Bally Meeda, with long-time collaborator LCamz (Leon) by his side. The project was born from a deeply personal place, during the breakdown of Bally’s relationship and the period of depression and anxiety that followed.
“I’d tried to keep things together but it wasn’t meant to be,” he recalls. “So after being introduced to Leon some weeks before, I rang him and asked if I could come and pour my heart out in his vocal booth. Everything has spiralled from there.”
What began as an emotional release quickly grew into something more. Combining Bally’s instinct for raw, storytelling lyrics with Leon’s sharp ear for production and engineering, the pair discovered a sound that balances vulnerability with vibrancy. Tears of Happiness craft emotive electronic pop: songs that tackle mental health and real-life struggles while radiating hope and positivity. For Bally, writing became a lifeline, and that healing energy remains at the heart of every track.
After a short break from releasing music, though never from creating it, the duo return stronger than ever. Much of their collaboration has happened virtually while Leon travelled the world, but when they reunite in the studio, there’s an instinctive connection that turns ideas into songs that feel both immediate and timeless.
Their latest single, “THE ONE,” is a perfect example of that balance. Written spontaneously in Bally’s lounge, the track came together in just 30 minutes as Leon shaped a beat and Bally instinctively began sketching melodies. “Leon stopped and said, ‘that’s brilliant, work on that,’” Bally remembers. Rooted in personal experiences and the stories of close friends, “THE ONE” captures both authenticity and immediacy. Sonically, it pairs Tears of Happiness’s signature heartfelt lyricism with a bright, beat-driven production, delivering a track that feels uplifting, yet emotionally grounded.
That blend of emotional honesty and accessible pop has already drawn attention. Their music has been described by music journalist Paul Moody as “songs which will have you punching the air while crying your eyes out.” It’s a sentiment that perfectly reflects their mission: to make music that resonates deeply but also leaves listeners feeling lighter and less alone.
Despite being independent, Tears of Happiness have achieved milestones that underline the project’s universal appeal. Their debut single was playlisted across all London NIKE stores without even pitching, and their track “Lift Me Up” climbed to number 12 in Luxembourg’s official Spotify charts, sitting alongside global stars like Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, and Post Malone. Meanwhile, Leon’s production work has been praised by none other than Abbey Road’s mastering legend Geoff Pesche, recognition that speaks to the quality and polish of their sound.
At its core, Tears of Happiness is about connection and music born from pain but channelled into positivity, created to lift others as much as it has lifted its creators. “I hope our music inspires people to hold on, even when life feels overwhelming and dark,” says Bally. “I’ve lost two very close friends to suicide and Tears of Happiness is meant to be a source of comfort and hope for anyone feeling low. I want listeners to know that it’s okay not to feel okay, and that they are never truly alone.”
