Thunder Announces 2017 UK and Ireland Tour. The tour starts on Friday 17th March at O2 Apollo in Manchester.
Hot off the heels of their epic live set in front of thousands at Ramblin Man Fair 2016, classic rock band Thunder have announced an 11-date tour of the UK and Ireland for March 2017 with special guests. The London outfit have been incredibly busy having released their top ten hit album ‘Wonder Days’ in 2015, touring the world with 2016 UK festival appearances and working on their as-yet untitled brand new album which is scheduled in February 2017 to coincide with the live shows.
2016 also saw Thunder play arenas across the UK with special guests (and friends of JLTT) Terrorvision and King King and it included a packed night at London’s famous Wembley Arena. When asked about the 2017 live outing, frontman Danny Bowes commented “After the arena shows in 2015 and 2016, we decided when we played the UK again, it would be great to take it back to where people live, and this is our longest UK tour for years. We’re looking forward to playing in theatres again, and of course the new album will be out by then, so I’ll be relying on the fans to learn all the words, mostly so they can remind me when I muck them up”.
