The Flash Bang Band are a trio from Brighton who sound like they are influenced by acts such as Sparks and they would be a compatible support for FFS (the new group of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks) if this single is anything to go by. The electric guitar is actually quite harsh and it creates quite an uncomfortable atmosphere with the lyric ‘coming out of my inside’. But I think that is what they are going for as an outfit and they seem very electro-punk.
It is really an acquired taste this type of music but with this track, it doesn’t seem to allow any breathing space as it is a relentless electronic pulse. Having said that, the band do clearly have energy and passion about what they’re doing and you can’t argue with that.
