Kim Izzard – One Way To Live (Single)
Kim Izzard is a singer-songwriter from the Midlands and she has released her new single ‘One Way To Live’ which is taken from her debut album ‘Life’s Journey’ scheduled for a September 2021 release.
The hypnotic electric guitar intro provided by Daniel J Brenmer is then mixed with synths and Izzard’s voice is easy on the ear and is well-suited on this anthemic rock number. The rhythm section consisting of Scott Dallow on bass and Daniel Starkey on drums frame the material in such a way that allows the track to be three-dimensional in its overall sound.
Kim Izzard has taken elements of not only rock but also contemporary pop and Prog when it comes to the single’s creation and production and I respect her for embracing a variety of styles as ‘One Way To Live’ is already securing radio airplay both online and regionally.
To summarise, Kim Izzard has created an entertaining upbeat number that is a welcome offering as lockdown restrictions lift. It will be interesting to hear the rest of the album and if you enjoy music by the likes of Evanescence, Paramore and Tarja Turunen then you might want to add ‘One Way To Live’ to your playlist.
