MarynCharlie is 22 years old, born and grew up in Amsterdam and is an indie-pop singer-songwriter who has released her latest single ‘Flight Mode’.
Our reliance on our phones and other electronic devices is the theme behind this song with the line “God we’re all such online beings, unfocused on our offline feelings” really summing that view up perfectly.
MarynCharlie’s voice is clear and reminds me of singer-songwriter and musician Mary Spender as she documents her personal struggles with a harmonious vocal and hooky chorus.
To summarise, ‘Flight Mode’ is a pleasant singer-songwriter pop release that might allow us to stop and reflect on our overuse of social media just a little bit.
