Public Image Ltd (PiL) Add Winter Leg to UK Tour
John Lydon’s iconoclastic band Public Image Ltd (PiL) have extended their This Is Not The Last Tour into the winter.
Following the summer leg that played 27 shows across the UK and Ireland, PiL will play dates in London, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Swindon, Swansea, Cambridge, Frome and Coventry between 27th December and 10th January, 2026.
Tickets are on sale now, available from all venues and via www.pilofficial.com.
Looking ahead to the new shows, Lydon said, “Public Image Limited is firing on all cylinders, so after playing some of the best shows in the band’s history throughout the summer we are very much looking forward to giving everyone a Rotten Christmas and New Year. You’re welcome.”
Lydon previously hinted that PiL would stop touring following the passing of his wife Nora in April 2023, and his friend and manager John Rambo Stevens in December 2023. However, the former Sex Pistols frontman had a change of heart following the love and support he received from fans during his spoken word tour of the UK in spring 2024.
Lydon said: “So many of the amazing people who came to those shows told me exactly what PiL means to them, so I couldn’t just stay on my sofa and not tour.”
After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed post-punk originators Public Image Ltd (PiL). Widely regarded as one of the most innovative bands of all time, their music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums.
With a shifting line-up and unique sound – fusing rock, dance, folk, pop and dub – Lydon guided the band from their debut album ‘First Issue’ in 1978 through to 1992’s ‘That What Is Not’, before a 17 year hiatus.
Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, touring extensively and releasing three critically acclaimed albums, ‘This is PiL’ (2012), ‘What The World Needs Now…’ (2015) and ‘End of World’ (2023).
