Qymira Releases ‘Shade Of My Shadow’

by | Nov 28, 2025

Qymira invites audiences into a spellbinding new chapter of her creative universe with the release of her latest single and music video, ‘Shade of My Shadow’, out now via QiiA Media.

The piece serves as the official theme from the forthcoming feature film ‘Shadow Transit’, in which Qymira stars as Celeste, marking her first leading film role and debut as both actress and film score composer.

‘Shade of My Shadow’ is a luminous orchestral journey through memory, emotion, and transformation, written and composed with Richard Taylor, the celebrated musical director for Boyzone, Westlife, and Ronan Keating. Performed with the Qymira Symphony Orchestra, the composition blends sweeping cinematic grandeur with quiet intimacy, a reflection of Celeste’s own search for truth within the shadows of her soul.

The accompanying music video, directed by award-winning Pedring Lopez (Netflix’s ‘Maria’), captures a vision of ethereal elegance. Dressed in a self-designed white gown from her own emerging fashion line, Qymira Qouture. She’s also adorned with jewellery by the iconic VERGEZ (a luxury jewellery brand which Qymira is the face of): the award-winning lion choker specially designed for Qymira, as well as the Amorae ring and bracelets that were specially designed for the movie. Qymira stands centre stage in the renowned Dolphy Theatre at ABS-CBN Studios, surrounded by her own orchestra.

As she performs, scenes from ‘Shadow Transit’ flicker behind her, fragments of love, loss, and redemption intertwined with the live performance, creating a seamless bridge between cinema and symphony. The video captures the realisation of six dreams she has carried since childhood: to act in a feature film, compose a film score, create & sing a movie theme song, perform with an orchestra, design her own fashion collection, and collaborate with a jewellery brand. ‘Shade of My Shadow’ is the moment where all those dreams finally converge.

The gripping high-stakes action-noir, ‘Shadow Transit’, has been officially selected as one of the closing films under QC Selects at the QCinema International Film Festival, the largest international film festival in Asia. The film will have its world premiere in the Philippines on 22nd of November, followed by its UK premiere in March 2026.

Directed by Pedring Lopez, ‘Shadow Transit’ stars Qymira as Celeste, a mysterious figure caught between destiny and deception, starring alongside Yoshi Sudarso. The film is poised for international acclaim, blending sleek visuals, emotional resonance, and a powerful musical identity crafted by Qymira herself. Sees Qymira not only debut as a leading lady but also take on her first film scoring role.

Qymira has also been invited as a guest speaker for the panel “Actresses as Agents of Change – Women in Front of the Camera Leading the Narrative” during QCinema, highlighting her advocacy for women’s empowerment and creative leadership in the arts. The release of ‘Shade of My Shadow’ coincides with the festival’s promotional campaign and offers audiences a first glimpse into the world of ‘Shadow Transit’ ahead of its cinematic debut.

As an emerging figure in entertainment, the sophisticated star has graced the covers of Fame Magazine, Surrey Rocks, and Revamp Magazine and has also been featured in prominent national and popular outlets, including Wonderland, Irish World, Belfast Times, and the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Qymira is a force of nature whose artistry fuses orchestral grandeur with dark urban allure. Born in Hong Kong, raised in San Francisco, and classically trained in piano, violin, and voice, she channels her diverse cultural roots into immersive, genre-bending productions where fantasy and reality collide. Her passion for orchestral music flourished when she became the first violinist in the UK National String Academy during her teens.

Her breakthrough came with her debut single ‘Satisfied’ (EEDB Remix), which soared to No.1 on the UK Music Week Breakers Chart, followed by nationwide UK tours and TV coverage across Europe. Since then, she has continued to dominate international charts with singles including ‘Boom Bang Bang’, ‘Wait For No One’, and ‘Give It To Me’, the latter sparking a collaboration with Doc B and Brazilian artists, with multiple tracks hitting No.1 on radio charts in Bahia. She also made a show-stopping appearance at Salvador Carnival, sharing the stage with Brazilian icon Edu Casanova.

Qymira, who conducts her own compositions, has led members of renowned orchestras including the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Guangzhou Symphony, Philippine Philharmonic, and Manila Philharmonic for live recordings of her original orchestral works. Her productions are performed worldwide by the Qymira Symphony Orchestra, a collective of top-tier symphony and philharmonic musicians from around the globe.

Beyond the stage, Qymira is affectionately known as “Mother Gaia” through her philanthropic work with the One Gaia Foundation, which she founded to support and connect children in need. One Gaia empowers young people through music, arts, and sports, with initiatives active across the Philippines, Hong Kong, Jamaica, and Brazil, offering platforms for children to explore their talents alongside world-class mentors.

About the One Gaia Foundation:

The One Gaia Foundation first made an impact in the Philippines. During Christmas 2019, Qymira visited the Aetas community of Bataan. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, One Gaia supported children by donating tablets for remote learning, rebuilding schools ravaged by typhoon Odette, and providing school supplies. Qymira has also been involved with Everlasting Hope, a centre for children with cancer in Cebu providing

essential needs, medical supplies, building accommodation, and holding sessions in arts and music. Additionally, Qymira has hosted feeding programs and dance initiatives for homeless children in Binondo, collaborated with the PWD (People With Disabilities) community in Mindanao, and supported communities and schools across Bohol and Isabela in the Philippines.

One Gaia is currently launching 10 initiatives across music, arts and sports in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Brazil, Jamaica, and later on India and Africa. One Gaia Stage Quest (previously known as One Gaia Singing Souls Contest) is in its fourth season, and currently open for auditions in the Philippines, for young singing and dancing talents in need.

Her ongoing efforts champion children in need globally, empowering and providing opportunities for them to express their talents and shine under the mentorship of seasoned professionals and finally shine as one people.
