Black Deer In The City 2025 Announces Final Wave Of Artists, New Stages And More
The inaugural, Black Deer In The City taking place at London’s Tobacco Dock on the 25 & 26 October, announces its final wave of artists, alongside new stages and features, including The Dance Hall and The Emporium, making it one of the largest celebrations of Americana to hit the Capital this year.
A hybrid of the Black Deer Festival and Black Deer Live shows, Black Deer In the City is thrilled to welcome The Gasoline Gypsies to the weekend line-up, with the band flying over from the States for their UK debut performance on the main stage on Sunday. The eight-time Detroit Music winners have earned themselves a reputation of being one of the tightest bands on the Mitten Music scene, drawing influence from the roots of rock, folk, bluegrass and country.
Other new additions to the bill, include a Sunday performance from The Motherz on the Roadhouse stage (curated by Desertscene). The three-piece London based band are set to deliver a raw, high-energy fusion of heavy blues, desert and classic rock, drawing inspiration from the likes of Black Sabbath, Wolfmother and Queens of the Stone Age.
One of London’s most iconic live music venues, The Half Moon in Putney, will be curating the acoustic stage in The Emporium, a newly announced performance space, that will host sessions from Maya Lane, Nathan O’Regan, Gina Larner, Naomi Campbell, Jonny Morgan, Cara Hammond, Beau Bennett and Charlotte Carpenter. The Emporium will also be the event’s dedicated area to retail and fashion, hosting daily catwalk shows and styling talks curated by the renowned hat designer Vera Black, as well as interviews and competitions with prizes, for the best dressed event attendees.
The latest wave of artists, join already announced headliners, American Aquarium (Saturday), making Black Deer In the City the North Carolina band’s first performance in England this year. They will top the bill after singer-songwriter Frazey Ford whose appearance, will also be a UK exclusive. Performances from Chuck Prophet & His Cumbia Shoes will close the event on Sunday, after The Wandering Hearts take to the stage.
For those feeling energetic and wanting to immerse themselves into dance, the team couldn’t be more excited to bring for the first time to a Black Deer event – The Dance Hall. Curated by Lynsey Shaw, a dynamic and multi-disciplinary performer, producer and creative director, The Dance Hall will be offering cowboy cha-cha and country swing dance lessons, Americana Bingo, Four Corners Country Roulette, as well as group circle and line dancing. The Dance Hall stage will also come alive with sets from Lynsey and The Lucky Strikes and the acclaimed Steve Young and Nashville Nights, who have sold-out venues since entering the music scene three years ago.
Other confirmed artists over the weekend, include Ferris & Sylvester, Alabama 3 Acoustic (who wrote Woke Up This Morning, which is the theme tune for American crime drama series, The Sopranos), Kyshona (back in London for a UK Black Deer Live exclusive after a show-stopping performance at the UK Americana Awards), Sam Outlaw and Hannah Aldridge (UK exclusives), Lilly Hiatt and Michele Stodart. Also, The Picturebooks, My Girl The River, Willa May, Isabella Coulstock, Ella Spencer. Finally, Jack Browning, Ben Jordan, Lauren Housley & The Northern Cowboys, Black Orchids, Mike West and Dead Lettuce.
Also, Toby Lee (twice UK Blues Hall of Fame winner and UK Americana Awards Emerging Artist 2025), Robert Vincent (UK Americana Music Associations, Song of the Year Award Winner 2025), Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young, Hans Chew (his first UK appearance since 2017). Dylan Earl, Rachel Croft, Logan J Parker, Ags Connolly, Hannah White (UK Americana Music Associations, Artist of the Year Award Winner 2025). Steak (UK exclusive), Morganway, Alex Francis, Savannah Gardner, Outlaw Orchestra, Kieron Marshall, The Sonic Gypsy as well as Katy Hurt, Brooke Law, Dom Glynn, Samuel Ashton & The Instincts and Phil Hooley.
The event also welcomes the return of the SupaJam Stage. With four specialist music colleges across the Southeast, as well as the recently launched SupaJam Foundation charity, SupaJam transforms the lives of young people who’ve fallen out of mainstream education, using music and media as tools to rebuild confidence, creativity and career pathways. The SupaJam stage will host a number of Black Deer artists across the two days, as well as story song circles, songbook sessions, singalongs and student performances.
And then there is the food. Ray Lampe aka Dr BBQ, will be hopping across the pond cooking up a storm on the Live Fire stage – his only European appearance this year. Live Fire will see flame-cooked BBQ demos and masterclasses from celebrated chefs and pitmasters, as well as chilli and hot dog eating competitions. The confirmed culinary chef line-up includes matblak, Marcus Bawdon, Melissa Thompson, Genevieve Taylor, Nick Weston, Shane McBagley and Mursal Saiq.
There will also be the opportunity for UK-based bands and musicians to enter a competition to win a performance slot on Sunday on the Black Deer Live stage.

Street food and bars, custom motorbikes and trucks, as well as the event’s very own tattoo parlour will also be in residence.
Entry prices for Black Deer In the City start at £84 (plus booking fee) for general day tickets. Weekend tickets and VIP are also available, but numbers are limited. Accessible tickets come with one free companion ticket. A payment plan for tickets is available. The event is for 16+, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
The event opening hours will be 11.00am – 01.00 on Saturday and 11.00am – 00.00 on Sunday.
Parking is available next to the venue, with Wapping (Overground), Shadwell (Overground & DLR), Tower Hill (District & Circle lines) train stations all a short walk away, with good bus routes available too.
