Brothers Osborne Announce New Album ‘Watertown’
Brothers Osborne have announced their fifth studio album.
The Grammy and Country Music Award-winning duo will follow up their 2023 self-titled LP with ‘Watertown’ on October 23 via MCA Records. The record is named after their hometown of Deale, Maryland, which has a population of 5,333.
TJ Osborne said: “We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically. A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”
The record, which features their previously shared cut R.I.P. and new song Bottle It Up, was helmed by the band’s longtime collaborator and producer Jay Joyce, and is the first of their albums to feature collaborations. Cody Johnson appears on the opening track Born and Raised Hell and Tough Kid features Stephen Wilson Jr.
Prior to the record’s release, Brothers Osborne have taken a unique approach to teasing it, sharing cut-down versions of pre-release tracks on streaming services and calling them “SELLOUT EDITS”, with full-length versions only available to those who sign up for their fan club, The Family, for free via their website.
John Osborne explained: “Our SELLOUT EDITS are a result of understanding where we are in 2026. It’s our way of meeting the people where they are. Our hope is that these edits will drive people to the deeper story. If they want to meet us where we are, at our live shows, they will likely get even more than what’s available to them on the internet. Different strokes for different folks, and we welcome them all. It’s still us and our songs at the end of the day.”
TJ added: “Songs aren’t static – they’re recorded one way, released another, played live yet another. All versions are valid, just like all interpretations are valid. We hope that meeting listeners where they are with these different formats opens up new avenues for our music to connect.”
