Maddox Jones Releases New Single & Music Video

by | Jun 16, 2025

UK singer-songwriter Maddox Jones is serving up something sweet, spicy, and seriously fun with the brand-new music video for his single ‘Pineapple Salsa’, out now via Radikal Records.

Originally featured on his sophomore album ‘Waiting for the World to Turn’, ‘Pineapple Salsa’ is a sun-soaked, Latin-tinged pop anthem packed with acoustic guitars, Latin percussion, trumpet hooks, and Maddox’s signature melodic charm. Now, the song gets a playful visual twist in a video that’s equal parts music video, cooking show spoof, and retro sitcom chaos.

The track itself is a feel-good summer jam bursting with flirtation and flavour: “You know there’s something about ya / Show me that super power / Oh, you got what I need / So hot and so sweet / Like pineapple salsa.”

The ‘Pineapple Salsa’ video follows the recent deluxe release ‘(Still) Waiting for the World to Turn’, which featured reimagined fan favourites like ‘21’, and came hot off the back of Maddox’s live appearances with Lucy Spraggan and an incredible run opening for pop icon Will Young on his UK comeback tour. In June Maddox will be supporting critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Rebecca Ferguson.

Maddox enjoyed early success with The Departure, securing four Top 40 hits, sharing the stage with iconic bands such as The Killers and Placebo, and playing prestigious festivals like Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury. Maddox has a track record of electrifying performances alongside notable acts like Thomas Heaton, Beaux, The Lottery Winners, and Lemar.

Having burst onto the scene as a solo artist in 2020 with the critically acclaimed EP, ‘Headspace’, the EP reached #4 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart. The follow-up 2021 single, ‘Can’t Wait for the Summer’ followed suit, hitting the top spot on the same chart. Tipped as One to Watch by BBC Introducing Northampton, Maddox has garnered further acclaim across the industry, earning a spot at #5 on Music Week’s Commercial Pop and Upfront Club Chart with ‘Make Me Yours’ off his debut album ‘Believe It’.

Brimming with vibrant melodies and emotional depth, the now 18-track deluxe album showcases Jones’ evolution as an artist as he explores themes of reflection, personal growth, and the longing for change.

The Long Ryders Announce October 2026 UK Tour

The Long Ryders — pioneers of the Alt-Country movement — return to the stage this October with the same fiery spirit that first made them legends. Fusing punk energy with country-rock harmonies, the band bridged the gap between Gram Parsons and today’s Americana heroes, influencing acts such as Wilco, The Jayhawks and Uncle Tupelo.
