Peter Capaldi Announces New Live UK Dates Following SOLD OUT Spring Shows
Following his critically acclaimed SOLD OUT UK tour dates earlier this year, Peter Capaldi, announces a handful of highly anticipated new live shows for this Winter.
The dark synths, fuzzy guitars and noirish romanticism of a young rocker trapped in the body of a beloved television veteran will be on show in select venues across the UK, as Capaldi kicks off on 13 December at Sheffield Network 2, then London, Bristol and culminating in his hometown of Glasgow on 17 December.
Long before becoming Dr Who, the ‘Thick Of It’ swearer in chief Malcolm Tucker, and DCI Hegarty of Apple TV’s “Criminal Record,” Capaldi began his performing career as a new wave rocker in an art school band. He finally returned to those rock roots earlier this year with his first ever UK tour. An experience he described as simply “picking up where he left off,” some fifty years ago. To his surprise, the shows played to great critical acclaim, and SOLD OUT fast. Due to public demand, Capaldi returns later this year, with a further 4 dates ahead of Christmas.
Peter comments, “I knew I had found a fantastic band, but I had no idea what the reaction to my first live tour would be. A little nervously I had called it ‘The Farewell Tour’, but that so many people came, got it, and somehow sang along to our secret songs, was a bonus I did not expect. So, ‘The Farewell Tour is Back!’ This December I get to do it all again, and more. The band are on board. The synths are charging up. The gear is in the dry cleaners. And I hope people will come and join us, for another wonderful trip into the unknown.”
Tour Dates:
Sunday 13 Dec 26 Sheffield, Network 2
Monday 14 Dec 26 London Dingwalls
Tuesday 15 Dec 26 Bristol Thekla
Thursday 17 Dec 26 Glasgow, QMU
