Ron Sexsmith Announces New Album and May 2017 UK Tour.
One of Canada’s greatest songwriting exports, Ron Sexsmith, has announced four UK shows in support of his forthcoming new album ‘The Last Rider’, in Bristol, Wolverhampton and two in London.
The Juno award-winning artist has amassed the admiration of such fans as Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney through his vast and enthralling body of work, ever since his major label debut self-titled album back in 1995.‘The Last Rider’, Ron’s thirteenth studio album, sees him take up the reins of production for the first time, in tandem with his long-term collaborator, Don Kerr. For fans, that fact alone should heighten the listening experience in terms of getting to hear Sexsmith’s complete musical vision for the first time.
As an artist whose music never fails to draw out raw emotions, Sexsmith the producer has made ‘The Last Rider’ perhaps the most intimate and welcoming album in his catalogue – a rare intimacy his regular fans will know from his subtle yet charismatic live performances.
He will take ‘The Last Rider’ to Bristol’s St George’s Hall on May 21st and Wolverhampton Robin 2 on May 22nd before performing two shows at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on May 23rd and 24th, backed by his trusted touring band who also feature on the album.Tickets available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk and venue box offices
