‘The Burt Bacharach Songbook’ July 2026 Royal Albert Hall Show Announced
The Royal Albert Hall hosts What The World Needs Now – The Burt Bacharach Songbook in concert on July 2nd, 2026 – honouring one of the most influential songwriters of the past century.
The evening features performances by legendary vocalist Dionne Warwick, beloved UK artist Rumer and the powerhouse performer Shaun Escoffery all of whom worked directly with Burt Bacharach – plus additional guests to be announced. The show will be brought to life with the WTWNN Band accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the musical direction of Rob Shirakbari – Bacharach’s long time arranger and music director.
Audiences can expect definitive performances of Bacharach’s classics including
‘The Look of Love’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head’, ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’, ‘Make It Easy On Yourself’ and the timeless anthem ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love’.
Bacharach remains one of the most decorated songwriters in modern music with a catalogue that includes 73 US Top 40 and 52 UK Top 40 hits as well as three Academy Awards, six Grammy Awards and an Emmy. His songs have been recorded by hundreds of artists across multiple generations and genres.
Rob Shirakbari began working with Bacharach and Warwick in his teens and arranging and orchestrating much of Bacharach’s touring show for decades. He served as Warwick’s music director for many years and continues his longstanding collaboration with her today.
“A man (Rob Shirakbari) so instrumental in helping me put this show together… writing the arrangements, writing the orchestrations. I couldn’t have done it without him.” – Burt Bacharach
“WOW! I’m very happy for this wonderful project landing in Rob’s more than capable hands. I could burst with Pride”- Dionne Warwick
“These songs are the star of the show, and we’re here to serve the music as he intended. I know he’d be proud to see his work reaching fans old and new.”- Rob Shirakbari
What The World Needs Now – produced by Angelo Bundini promises an evening of joy, nostalgia and unforgettable music performed in one of the most iconic venues in the world.
