Los Angeles post-industrial rock duo Zeistencroix return with new album ‘Psychotronic’ mixed and mastered by Ulrich Wild and led by the single “Deceiving.”

Who is in Zeistencroix , how did you meet and what do you play?

ZTX is Santiago (Drums) and Myself (Vocals/Guitars) sometimes we have people come in and play with us live and sometimes it’s just the two of us

We met through my wife, he worked at the same company and found out i was looking for a drummer

What is your earliest musical memory?

When I was 3 years old we had a family gathering and my family was singing songs

When did you begin songwriting?

When I was 16 YO and started a band

You have released your new album ‘Psychotronic’. How did you want to approach the making of the album?

It was the aftermath of our last tour, it came pretty organic (the writing), I was still fired up from the road and everything that was going on at the moment and just let it go to the music

Where did you record the album and who produced it?

We recorded it on several studios, stigyan, the wildness (Ulrich Studio), AES studio, and several others in Miami too, Santi lives in Miami and he recorded a lot of the drums there, I recorded everything else here in LA and we had it mixed and mastered By Ulrich Wild.

Do you have any interesting, funny or memorable stories from the recording sessions?

To me everything it’s memorable as I really enjoy the process, it always feels like we’re putting pieces of a puzzle together and even though we have a vision of the end result, the finish song always transforms on it’s own thing

Did you use any particular instruments, microphones, recording equipment to help you get a particular sound/tone for the record?

That’s usually a choice of the engineer, they know they’re gear and how they like it and understand it better, to me it’s more about the performance and the vibe. With that said I’m a huge gear head but I don’t get involved in that area when we record with people I trust

Which of your new album tracks hear you at your a) happiest, b) angriest and c) most reflective?

My songs are my children, I love them everyone the same, to me they mean something unique on they’re own so i might like playing some more than the others but it’s more of how it feels, not if i like them best or not

Was it a difficult album to write?

I have the curse. I never struggle writing, the thing I struggle with it’s not writing

Who designed the album artwork?

Santi is the Visual artist, he is an Art Director and a killer drawing artist and sculptor, so I leave most of the visual side of the band to him

One of the tracks is the single ‘Deceiving’ which is out now. What was the story/inspiration behind the track?

It’s about people Deceiving in the whole spectrum of the word

Do you have any visualisers to accompany the album?

We’re actually working on it as we speak, we’ll have some

Where is your hometown and could you please describe it in five words?

Los Angeles CA, Crazy, Chaotic, Intense, Ruthless, Home

How do you look after your voices?

I have a couple of routines, mainly and for all of them: good sleep, warm ups, and sex withdrawals when important events happen. For the throat singing the warm ups are a little different and I tend to push it, also drink coffee or chocolate, no cold drinks or alcohol. So pretty much a monk’s life.

Do you have any live dates planned in the UK/Europe in 2026/2027?

Yes that’s in the works, hopefully we’ll know more by the end of the year

What two things do you hope to have achieved once you have left the stage?

To have a good time and that people enjoyed it

Do you have any favoured stage instruments, effects, pedals, microphones etc?

I like wireless mics and my quad cortex pedal

You are given the opportunity to write the score for a film adaptation of a novel that you enjoy. Which novel is it?

Would be probably a thriller, Interview with the Vampire (the original)

Who are some of your musical influences? Do you have any recommendations?

Depeche Mode, Placebo, Rammstein, NIN, Marilyn Manson, The Prodigy, David Bowie, The Cure, Zeromancer, Garbage, Iggy Pop, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, HIM. There’s a lot of bands i would recommend all of them

What makes Zeistencroix happy and what makes you unhappy?

Happy: music Unhappy: when people doesn’t keep they’re word
