ALT BLK ERA Announce New EP ‘Our World’ and Launch May 2026 UK Tour
After riding a huge wave of momentum from their critically acclaimed debut album and fresh off a major EU & UK support tour with Pendulum, ALT BLK ERA announce New EP and UK headline tour – The Nottingham-based duo will release their brand-new EP Our World on May 22, accompanied by an electrifying headline UK tour kicking off May 21st.
The new EP marks ALT BLK ERA’s first project since their breakout debut album Rave Immortal, released in January 2025. The album debuted at No.1 on the Official UK Rock & Metal Chart, earned the duo a MOBO Award for Best Alternative Music Act, and led to standout appearances including Later… With Jools Holland. With Our World, sisters Nyrobi (21) and Chaya (18) Beckett-Messam push their genre-defying sound even further, delivering a confident, evolved body of work that fans have been eagerly anticipating.
“We’re having so much fun exploring our sound, and it feels like we’re really stepping into ourselves with every song,” says Nyrobi.
“We’re so excited for this tour! We have so many things planned, and it’s going to be next-level insane. After touring with Pendulum, we definitely feel more confident on stage. It’s definitely something to look forward to, for us and for our audience.”
The EP announcement follows the release of their new single ‘Okay (Cyber Racing)’ via LAB Records, unveiled midway through the Pendulum tour and shortly after ALT BLK ERA were crowned Best New Artist at the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2025. The track leans into the duo’s electronic instincts, blending high-energy beats, glitch-heavy production, fuzzy bass and driving guitar lines with a hook-laden, instantly repeatable chorus.
Renowned for their explosive live shows, the upcoming UK tour will see ALT BLK ERA deliver their most ambitious performances to date, featuring new material from Our World alongside fan favourites. The run follows a period of intense touring and major festival appearances including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Download Festival, and performances across Europe.
ALT BLK ERA are widely recognised for their fearless approach to alternative music, fusing rock, EDM, rap, alt-pop and metal into a sound entirely their own. Beyond music, the duo are passionate advocates for hidden disability awareness and inclusivity within the industry. Nyrobi, who lives with ME/CFS, works closely with BBC Introducing to help create safe backstage spaces for artists with disabilities — a mission deeply tied to the themes explored on Rave Immortal.
Hailed by press as “a force to be reckoned with” (NME), “one of the most exciting British rock acts” (Rock Sound) and “redefining alternative music” (Kerrang!), ALT BLK ERA continue to push boundaries, challenge expectations and carve out a space entirely their own.
