Asta Bria Unveils New Single ‘Emma’

by | Jan 24, 2025

Hot-footing her 2024 single ‘Dream No6’, which garnered mammoth critical acclaim globally, the phenomenal Asta Bria storms into 2025 with the release of her first official single under her new global record deal – ‘Emma’ – released on Friday 7th March 2025. A new year and a new song, and ink still drying on her label deal with Right Track Records/Universal Distribution Operations, Asta Bria shows she means business on the world music stage.

Deliciously haunting, Asta delivers a slice of pop perfection with this Enya-esk original penning in the form of ‘Emma’. A true biographical tale of Asta’s niece, Emma, who at the age of just 3-years, moved by images on her TV screen, packed her rucksack with water and food, with an emphatic determination to embark on a pilgrimage to feed the starving children in the world. Now that her niece is an adult, and happy for her story to be shared with the world, Asta feels the time is right to share ‘Emma’ with global audiences.

“I wrote this song in two minutes. But I just couldn’t find the right way for the production to express that emotion that Emma felt,” comments Asta, “It’s a prayer, it needed to deliver the pain and the anguish that comes from the goodness of a child’s heart, whilst also having the melodic ability to inspire and move the listener. I also wanted Emma’s rubber-stamp on sharing her story. It’s taken time to do that.”

‘Emma’ was co-produced by Jagannatha Suta & Asta, orchestral arrangement by John Metcalfe (Coldplay, U2, Blur, Peter Gabrielle), orchestra by Isobel Griffith (Sting, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Sam Smith, Harry Styles), and piano by Gintaras Pamakstys. Recorded at RAK and Angels studios, Asta & Jag spent time nurturing the sound of this song, on their epic quest to convey the emotion and empathy that Asta could see in young Emma’s eyes, as she begged to be allowed to help the starving. The musical journey was worth it. ‘Emma’ overflows with passion and sentiment, taking the listener by the hand and leading them to into an overwhelming crescendo that elevates the soul.

The Long Ryders Announce October 2026 UK Tour

The Long Ryders — pioneers of the Alt-Country movement — return to the stage this October with the same fiery spirit that first made them legends. Fusing punk energy with country-rock harmonies, the band bridged the gap between Gram Parsons and today’s Americana heroes, influencing acts such as Wilco, The Jayhawks and Uncle Tupelo.
