Sean McKinney’s Morning Tourist Releases Poignant New Single “Honey” from Debut Album ‘The Endless Eve
London-based alternative-folk act Morning Tourist has released “Honey,” the second single from the upcoming debut album ‘The Endless Eve,’ set for release on August 21 via Blaggers Records. The single is a fan-favorite in Morning Tourist’s live set and features sweet harmonies and acoustic guitars.
“Honey” explores the feelings of dejection and resignation that can take hold when life becomes overwhelming. Morning Tourist’s Sean McKinney explains that the song captures the struggle of feeling low and not being able to hide it. He adds that “Honey” is a conversation with the people who love and support you, ultimately promising resolution.
The 9-track album, ‘The Endless Eve,’ showcases Morning Tourist’s songwriting talent, with shades of influence from artists such as Elliott Smith, The Shins, and Sparklehorse. The album was recorded at Shenley Studios in Rushmoor and features guest appearances by Jody Lahart, Sam Cahalin, and Harvey Fenny.
Morning Tourist has previously released the EP ‘Quiet Lives’ in 2018, which attracted extensive radio play and local support. The act has performed on festival stages across Europe and on the London live circuit, both solo and accompanied by a band.
In anticipation of the album’s release, Morning Tourist has announced several live performances for 2023, including appearances at The Great Escape, Glastonbury, and How The Light Gets In Festival. Fans can stream the new single “Honey” on YouTube and all major streaming services.
