Rock Icon Marco Mendoza Announces September UK Tour Dates for “Shoot for the Stars Tour 2025”
Legendary bassist Marco Mendoza is heading to the UK this September for a string of very special, intimate shows following his return to the UK in 2025 as part of the Satriani/Vai band on tour this summer.
Marco made his musical debut in 1989 playing on former Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward’s solo album and went on to co-found Thin Lizzy spin off Black Star Riders in 2012. As a solo artist he has released four albums and collaborated on numerous works and tribute albums with fellow members of rock royalty.
Marco has been a full time band member with giants such as Whitesnake, Journey, The Dead Daisies, Ted Nugent, Journey and Thin Lizzy, and has been creating music as a solo artist since 2007. With bandmates Drew Lowe on guitar and Chris Allan on drums, the Marco Mendoza Trio received fantastic reviews for their live shows in 2024 and are keeping their promise to return for more this year.
Marco loves to go off script and wander into the crowd, he genuinely loves his audience and has time for everyone. He’s been described as ‘a musician everyone has to see before they die’ and his shows are personal, engaging, and huge amounts of fun. The audience is promised a warm, interactive experience of being entertained by a true showman with a rich career history to draw on.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Mendoza says: “I’m beyond excited to return to the UK, your love and support over the years has meant the world to me. After wrapping up the tour with SATCHVAI, I can’t wait to get back on the road and bring these songs to life for you. See you in September!”
His last two solo records, Viva La Rock and New Direction, recorded in Copenhagen with producer and guitarist Søren Andersen, have been met with rave reviews. The collaboration marked a creative resurgence for Mendoza, and fans can look forward to hearing tracks from both albums performed live.
