
UK’s Biggest Ever Eurovision Convention Announces Star Acts to Perform at EurovizCon 2024
The UK’s biggest ever Eurovision Convention, EurovizCon, effervesces with excitement as it announces its first star line-up of performers, which includes the UK’s most iconic Eurovision winners, The Fizz. The convention’s show-stopping live performance on Saturday 21 September, at the Brighton Centre, also announces other Eurovision stars from across Europe including: Chiara Siracusa, Senhit, Slavko, Bobbysocks and the Sunstroke Project – with more Eurovision star names to follow. EurovizCon bursts open its Eurovision-tastic doors on Friday 20-Saturday 21 September 2024 for a weekend that will be nothing short of Euro-phoric!!!
Stepping back to 1981, when bubbly pop band, Bucks Fizz whizzed to a Eurovision win with their skirt-ripping, cork-popping song ‘Making Your Mind Up’, and the excitement of that moment will be relived at EurovizCon 2024, as Cheryl, Jay and Mike step back on stage as The Fizz to recreate that Euro-winning moment.
“Winning Eurovision back in ’81 has to be the biggest moment of our lives,” smiles Jay Aston, “To bring that win home to celebrate with the whole of the nation, was such a proud moment for us. So to come back to Brighton, the place where ABBA won Eurovision with their iconic ‘Waterloo’, well it’s going to be a performance that we’ll never forget. Fizz fans and Eurovision lovers, you won’t want to miss this one, The Fizz will be popping the celebrations into full swing – come and relive that winning ‘Making Your Mind Up’ moment with us all over again. It’s literally going to be pure joy!”
This brand new two-day event, will be the biggest ever of its kind, fusing the history of Eurovisions past with the utter immersive interactive joy of plunging fans into the experience first-hand. Eurovision fans can expect a two day festival of Eurovision celebrations including:
